Is this current promotion regional? My Safeway flyer doesn't have anything about it.
In store signage?

What are the exclusions on the $10 coupon? Can it be applied while buying another gift card?

The coupon from the Visa deal will not work properly unless the order is $25 or more (without dairy, alcohol, blah blah). Fortunately, the coupon does not say anything about it, that is why we've been able to get them manually taken off by cashiers.
The coupon from the MC deal should work automatically if the order is > $10

That Visa promo, ugh. Every coupon I used required manual override . each time I tried to use it they tried to say something else, 25 min purchase, 75...100..i just kept reiterating no... 10 min. Hopefully this one isn't so hard to redeem.

Why the fretting over the mucked up coupons from the Visa promotion? With every problem there is opportunity. For example venting your frustration of the challenge in using them to the manager on duty and then him offering to exchange them for a Vons GC of equal value (which doesn't have nearly the amount of restrictions as do the coupons -- being able to buy a case of beer being one of those).

If you can buy $50 of groceries, there is also a special now where you get '$5 off your next purchase'. (till 07/23)

Just bought two 500 variables back to back (separate transactions) and got two separate $10 off coupons. And these actually say, "minimum $10 purchase" unlike the old Visa promo which simply was $10 off. So, these should be much less of a PITA to redeem. Time to load up!

Also, has anyone tried using those MC $10 off coupons yet? Does it scan automatically? The visa overrides suck.

1. on a previous GC purchase the coupon didn't print so phone customer service (not the in store) added 10 dollars to my club account.
2. next purchase I made was 6 dollars in grocery and 105.95 for GC and previous 10 dollar on account got automatically applied and then I called attendant on to the kiosk to use one more 10 coupon which he override after slight hesitation and murmuring.
Net - I ended up paying 91.xx for 111.xx. Super YMMV but it happened!
