Got 2 for 200 VGC in CA. Only problem was the override required while redeeming. Would have been awesome if it worked on scanning.

Doesn't work. I tried this afternoon, cashier even tried to manually rebate 10 and it wouldn't go for a GC purchase.

Has anyone tried buying a GC with the $10 coupon? -- that would be an awesome endless cycle.

OK! I bought 100 GC - so there you go! Cool, they had ZERO 200 and many variable, which got me NADA, and 100(s). I will look for stores with 200, thanks!

It's required an override every time for me. Annoying.
But the $200 cards are quite the awesome deal. Best MS opportunity right now

I'm going to have to try out the 2 for $200. If it works I'll get a bunch and liquidate them at my local spot that limits MOs to $300. Profit will be worth it for only $6.98 in combined fees.

You seem to have lotsa "2 for" and "combined" but I recommend you just buy one gift card at a time LOL...

-06.95 fee
+10.00 groceries
+10.00 groceries
=====
+13.05 if you needed the groceries at that store's prices anyway

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I'm going to try a fixed $200 and see if I get two of the $10 coupons. If I do I'll get some more, obviously one at a time. My overall thinking is $100 fixed VGCs are too much of a hassle for a $10 off coupon but being able I buy a fixed $200 and get two coupons is worth it since liquidation is less of a pain in the ... and the activation fee is cut down.

gotcha

...even without the 2x the 200s would hmmm kinda(?) be a better deal (notwithstanding my surprise that they're $1 more than the variables, the manager even wanted to remind me of that)

Bought $200. Got 2 coupons.
Used coupon on groceries. $10 off coupon did not work and got $10 cash refund.

plus CB from amex blue. That's another +$10.34

you can get some very good deals stacking coupons from the app w/ whatever's already on sale. I regularly save 30-40% off the (yes, agreed) inflated prices. I now rarely buy things I can't stack.

also good opportunity to stock up on non-perishables (i.e. household supplies, toiletries, etc.)

FYI any coupon used at self checkout (manufacturer or Catalina) requires an override.
