A new thread was created for the new year in 2017. This is the old thread. For the 2017 on this topic, go here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1819562-cvs-master-thread-2017-a.html
CVS is cash only for all Incomm-related reloads and reloadable cards, including Vanilla Reloads and Serve swipe reloads. See memo to stores for complete list. Other cards at CVS can still be bought using credit, but YMMV depending on location, Manager, etc.
New limits rolling out starting 10/20:
Transactions with $300 or more of card face value require ID.
Limit $2000 of card face value per 24 hour rolling period.
Limit of 10 cards per 24 hours.
Cashback posted in 48 hours.
Cash Register Freezing
Multiple reports that the CVS cash register will freeze and lock after scanning the ID when purchasing multiple prepaid cards. Then the register's computer needs to be restarted. Some report that "swiping" the ID instead of "scanning" will avoid the issue.
Limit of 7 tenders (swipes) per transaction. This is most commonly run into when using low-value AGCs. After seven, the transaction must be complete, no cash (or any other payment method) will be accepted to pay the balance.

Just loaded via on-line and didn't have to enter a Captcha. Load went fine. As a matter of fact I paid my bill already.

No problem downloading on the site, but I hate the new layout.

Looks like it's starting to work but still glitchy. I think I'll hold off buying my last two for the month until this issue is resolved.

Had no problems uploading. FWIW I actually like the new website. Seems more streamlined.

My local source finally stocked up again with the new VRs, after many weeks of being out (and having gone to multiple other places with no success) ^
No issue loading them to BB

Not a fan of the new website. Layout is much more cluttered than the previous. My guess is they're concerned about security.
Also, I can confirm that store managers can order more VRs at their discretion. My regular store was out for about a month so I always went to other stores to purchase. But then I got the idea to befriend the manager of my regular store -- he was happy to order more and placed the max order, 120. Not sure if that meant 120 cards or 120 packs (of ten). I believe he meant packs because he said that there was a box full of them in the back office. That's 1200 VRS! SCORE!

And if your source is anything like my source, it will be dry in 24 hours! The amount of cards I saw sold in a 9 hour period yesterday was amazing.

Old site: Enter PIN and card number. Click load. Click accept. Done. In and out in literally 10 seconds.
New site: Wait 5 minutes for site to load. Enter PIN. Wait 5 minutes. Enter card number. Hit continue button. Hit it a few more times because the site javascript is garbage until it finally registers the click. Wait another 5 minutes. Hit confirm. Hit load a couple more times because the site spits out "PIN already redeemed" errors a couple times. Finally done.
The new site is garbage, plain and simple. There is no possible way on earth it's faster to load on the new site than the old one...took me at LEAST five times the time to load VR's today as it did in the past, probably closer to 10 times longer.

One of the stores that I usually frequent had a supply of VR's that seemed like old stock that someone found in a back room. They only had the Myvanilla, Mio, and netSpend logos on them. Missing was the AmEx logo. I found some of the newer one's, so bought one of them. However, I was wondering if one of the older ones without the AmEx logo would work with BB. I assume it would, but didn't want to take the risk.

I've had this in the past. The manager then said = these cards are voided and dumped all 10 in the trash!!

Website gave 'An Error Occured' message while trying to reload...
Had to call the number on the back of the VR to add funds to BB. Sucessful.
