A new thread was created for the new year in 2017. This is the old thread. For the 2017 on this topic, go here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manufactured-spending/1819562-cvs-master-thread-2017-a.html
CVS is cash only for all Incomm-related reloads and reloadable cards, including Vanilla Reloads and Serve swipe reloads. See memo to stores for complete list. Other cards at CVS can still be bought using credit, but YMMV depending on location, Manager, etc.
New limits rolling out starting 10/20:
Transactions with $300 or more of card face value require ID.
Limit $2000 of card face value per 24 hour rolling period.
Limit of 10 cards per 24 hours.
Cashback posted in 48 hours.
Cash Register Freezing
Multiple reports that the CVS cash register will freeze and lock after scanning the ID when purchasing multiple prepaid cards. Then the register's computer needs to be restarted. Some report that "swiping" the ID instead of "scanning" will avoid the issue.
Limit of 7 tenders (swipes) per transaction. This is most commonly run into when using low-value AGCs. After seven, the transaction must be complete, no cash (or any other payment method) will be accepted to pay the balance.

That wouldn't be clever, that would be more regurgitation of FM blogs. I'm sorry - I didn't realize we had to limit the discussion to only be inclusive of those *just* getting into the game or those needing circles and arrows.

You just want to show it off your card. Nothing more. People are discussing currently available to apply today. Not the one that you are grandfathered in.

Actually, the question was, "is there any card there which will give more CB @ CVS?". So, the answer is 100% valid. Whether that applies to you or not is a circles and arrows problem mentality.

The answer may be relevant, but what's the point of talking about it here though? Nobody benefits talking about it except the grandfathered ones. It's not a new opportunity. It doesn't bring any new information. It already has its own thread. It's "beyond" the circles and arrows.

Just let it go, man. The guy answered the other guy's question. Move on with life.

And, I think I just implied how pointless that was. But, I guess you didn't understand that and had to say words, right?

A similar point could be made about your post. And mine.

I am fully aware of that without you telling me. Why are you doing it then? You found a target? You know what you are doing is pointless but you had to because you cannot resist to point out? Please just put me on your ignore. I do the same. Actually, no, it'll be done on my side.

My conversation was rather tried to staying the topic originally...keeping things current...at least that was my intention, but you type just take it out of the box big time making things so personal. No need for that. Seriously, do you really want to discuss dead deal for the most? If so, let's discuss. What would you do if you have unlimited 5% on drugstores with say a CL of $20k? Is buying $5k worth of VRs on a single purchase too much you think? It nets me like $210, so if I have an idea of the single purchase limit, saves me time going to CVS multiple times...and gas. Do I need to vary CVS or stick with a couple? How many multiples of $500 or sub $1k VRs be too much on a single day? Will it trigger a FR? How's the Reward Cash tracker on the CVS purchases? Some says it's fixed now, but really fixed? Oh, man, I'm afraid of a FR, but it's so lucrative for me I can't stop pushing! What do you think of the chances of a FR asking for >$25k CLI?

Why are all the beans gone? (in my Jack Sparrow voice). I'm in the Middle TN area. I've been scouring remote locations to support my beans habit.

Get off the VR pipe and use your math skills. It is cheaper to buy GCs at the close locations than waste gas and wear & tear to visit remote locations.
