Since new applications are typically processed somewhat manually, what do you think happens when a credit union gets 500x or 1000x the normal daily new application volume ?

I doubt it will last the week - time to set up the betting pool?

I predict it's dead by end of the day Friday (and if their attention wasn't focused on the selection of the new Pope, it would probably be shut down by Wednesday).

Ok the over/under betting line is Wednesday. What do you think is going to happen Monday morning when one poor soul has to approve all these?

It will take weeks just to process all of the new applications made today ... after a day or so, they will have a meeting in the conference room and start to reject/reverse enmasse

I would think hundreds of potentially $10,000 transactions on the same day would trigger something in Chase's systems, might not even get that far.

On Monday morning, the suits are either going to kill CC funding or at least restrict it to some trivia amount like $500.
