What we know so far, that we are happy to share, and won't get the hump when other people ask us or other people get the hump cos we know something they don't.

Curve Card Changes.
Anyone else had an email from Curve telling us about the enhancements they are making ?
The bit which stands out to me is
"Eligibility for rewards. Your card issuer will now be able to identify your spend categories. If you have a card which gives you Rewards based on categories of spend (e.g Groceries, Travel, etc.), you now may be able to earn these Rewards, on top of your Curve Rewards."
I bet the card issuers actually use that information the other way around to stop rewards being earnt on certain (most) spending on the Curve card :-(
At the moment they are pretty blind and pay rewards on the whole balance.

Ugh, Qudity's merchant category code is 6051 "Non-Financial Institutions – Foreign Currency, Money Orders (not wire transfer) and Travelers Cheques" which many credit cards reclassify as a cash advance.

This is consistent with comments on https://www.headforpoints.com/2018/0...h-withdrawals/ . Is your Taiwan card a Mastercard? According to https://www.citibank.com/tts/solutio...gory-Codes.pdf at least, 6540 only exists on Mastercard, so I wonder what it maps to on Visa.
While I do not have current period statement yet, from online banking and phone talk with the bank support it seems that withdrawal was treated as a normal purchase: no fee charged and apparently miles gonna be credited.

https://verse.me/en/ transfer to other people up to EUR 10,000/yr (I know, small right!) but denominated in GBP. Takes Visa/MC including US cards. MCC 4829 (same as Transferwise) so beware cash advance fees.

Has anybody been able to open a First Premier Card? The website looks scammy and it woudln't let me open one "User Blacklisted". Calling led to this e-mail address: [email protected] which seems to be the backend provider. E-mail was not answered.
