Retailers that allow large Cash Back with purchase

Similar to the Free ATMs thread...

I was wondering/hoping if others would be kind enough to point out specific retailers that allow (at a minimum) $100 cash back when making a purchase.

I believe buried in the WF forum someone mentioned a place that allowed $300 in cash back but it was no where near me. Similar stores would be much appreciated...especially if they're in Florida

are you sure there is a place that allows $300 cash back from a debit card? I live in CA, and I haven't seen any place yet.

I know CVS is always asking if I want cash back when I buy VRs. I don't know what their limit is, and I don't know if that will be treated as a cash advance. Anyone able to clarify?

If you look in the WF forum, between pages 20-30, someone mentions it. Personally, I found this to be somewhat unbelievable but I'm sure it could help someone out. Also, MMS has posted about $200 cash back but it also wasn't any place near me (unfortunately my brain forgot which store once I realized it wasn't helpful to me).

All the supermarkets near me, the max is 50.

CVS near me is $35 max. Pretty poor. And I seriously doubt any cash back is considered a cash advance since it's from a debit card not a credit card. Are you saying I could use a credit card and still choose cash back? I didn't even know that was an option.

I've never seen that as an option when using a credit card, anywhere.

Are you maybe using a miles-earning debit card for these?

It's $200 at the Safeway in SF Bay Area that I frequent. Same at the Raley's supermarket.

Some years ago when Sam's Club took Discover (and I had that card), I could get $60 cashback on every purchase. It was not a cash advance.

From: http://www.chasingthepoints.com/2013...k-vendors.html

Gristede's - $25 max
Kmart - $50 max
Wholefoods - $100 max
Walmart - [max unknown]
A&P - $50 max
CVS - [max unknown]
Post Office - $50 max (does not work with any Visa Buxx card I tried, so this is good for those that use a regular debit card)
For Sam's Club and Discover it is because:

Just to add my own info:
Publix $50
Sweetbay $50

Really wish I had a SaveMart around me! Will also stop by Wally world and see if my local store will do $100.
