I didn't know this was news but credit card companies have always had access to this information.

So they can see exactly what you're buying?

Surprised they are allowed to do this.... sounds like pretty big invasion of privacy to me.

Didn't they subpoena Monica Lewinsky's credit card records to find out she purchased "Vox"? Or maybe it was the bookstore they subpoenaed. Who knows.

Sorry if this has been asked again, but is the per month limit a calendar month or a 30 day month? I know the $1000/day is calendar day.

Really? No wonder I 've been getting promo material for Cialis after seeing I purchase so much Viagra from my local Wagreens (& VR on cc too!)

Maybe we need to all rehearse our script for answering calls from the Cardinals... "I did not have reloadable relations with that [insert store name here]"

Hopefully our Blue Birds will fare better than Miss Lewinsky's blue dress. At least we take our BBs to the cleaners now and then...

For those who are buying ice cream or green dot at CVS, how do you get it to work with a CC? I tried at my local store and cashier could not push it through because of "invalid tender" or something like that.

On a separate question, does the register treat gift cards differently from CC? Will I have less problems purchasing beans and similar reloads using a gift card as opposed to a CC?

Its the managers decision whether he wants to make it cash tender only or not. If it is cash tender only cc or gift card won't matter.

On to the next location.

So I was just at a CVS looking for Vanilla and they were out...I ask a cashier and he finds an unopened bag of vanilla reload cards. Sweet! EXCEPT these are not typical reloads. It was a package with a credit card sized card called a "Vanilla Reloadable Prepaid Card" - the card itself is all black. These are not vanilla reloads and they are not Visa vanilla gift cards. Anyone else seen these or know how they work?? Haven't seen any pictures of these on the blogs so maybe a new product...

So it's entirely YMMV? What about that blog with the picture of his GF waving beans at CVS? Just dumb luck that he found a "compatible" CVS store?
