in the PA / NJ / DE / MD area we have fee-free ATMs at Wawa (offered through PNC Bank). I've been able to take $400 out of them for no fee.

In East Coast states with Wegmans (grocery), they have $1 ATM fees

There is a point where you verify all your info, ** deleted ** (guess you can from the previous comment)

Just went through the process again today. It'll ask you for the following:

- Zip
- SSID
- bday (MM/DD/YYYY)
- phone#

However, street addr seems to be hardcoded. Also, not sure if you can enter another SSID/bday (they maybe ask you just for verification purposes).

Hmm...got denied for loading $1K today. I've only loaded $2K in the last 28-day so I havent hit the 5K limit specified on the terms. Called CSR and he said the limit should be 2,500 in 28-days. Anyone had similar experience?

tonyflyer Jan 6, 13 8:21 pm

I think it is 2.5K for 1 card and 5K for 2 cards in 28 days.

According to T&C, it's, max load of $5k a month but no more than $2,500 balance may be carried.

From the FAQ

Does the American Express for Target Card have a minimum or maximum balance requirement?
When you purchase the Card, there is a minimum initial load amount of $.01 and a maximum initial load amount of $500. Each time you reload the Card you can add from $.01 to $1,000 to the Card. There is no ongoing minimum balance requirement, but the maximum balance you can have on your Card at any given time is $2,500. You can have up to two Cards issued to you. The maximum balance you can carry per Card, at any given time, is $2,500, and you cannot load more than $5,000 across both Cards over a 28 day period.

However, we permit you to maintain a higher balance limit and monthly maximum load amount of $10,000 across both Cards over a 28 day period if loaded with direct deposits from your employer or other payor.

Yea, I've already done 2 w/d since my loads so I can load another $1k w/o going over $2,500.

I've loaded 2K + 2,100 in the last 28-days, so loading $1K wont work. Thanks ferrari_fan. :)

California is a big state, you'll have to be more specific.

I use Costco @ 1.25 ($400). I've heard McDonalds has $.75 ATM's but haven't tried it out yet. My guess is the the limit is lower than Costco. If anyone has insight to a good option in OC CA I'd be interested.

everywhere or just in certain states?

So in a sense, this works out maybe as good as doing the CVS/VR thing:

With CVS you get say 2 VRs for $1,007.90

With TGT Amex you load say 2 GCs or a CC for up to $1k for $3 and then pay $3 to get $900 out ($1 per $300 at MCDs) so that's $1,006. You still have $100 left in there but whatever.

The earning of points or miles on whatever CC starts each process is subject to how you buy and where etc. And fees for things can be altered as well in many ways we have all discussed.

except its $3/incident from the Target card as well, so add $9
