VENMO Still Code as Travel 3x for Chase Ink Preferred
Does anyone have any data points as to whether paying rent/mortgage using Venmo still codes as Travel (3x) for Chase Ink Preferred??

Just tried Bancorp Vanilla MCGC. Doesn't work. Zip code is registered correctly. I called and Vanilla sees Venmo not accepting.

Has anyone used a Chase card to load on Venmo? Specifically, I'm wondering about the Chase Southwest.

It'll work, as long as you're okay with the 3% fee. If you're using it to get CP, it could be worth it depending on how much you put through Venmo.
Be cautious of triggering a fraud alert or being shut down though.

Okay, thanks. I may end up having my brother and wife sign up so that they can get the companion pass. (Wife is the last resort, though.) The difference in amount towards attaining CP status would be minimal enough (hopefully) to just use it to load up on Venmo.
