Impossible to add AA frequent flyer number to booking on MH website

Impossible to add AA frequent flyer number to booking on MH website
I am trying to book a flight on the MH website, but when it comes to entering the frequent flyer number I am able to choose American Airlines from the drop-down menu but the actual frequent flyer number field does not accept ANY letters, only numbers. All AA frequent flyer numbers have a mix of letters and numbers (e.g. 6G3K952) and when you try to enter it only the numbers get accepted. Has anyone found a fix for this other than calling MH and waiting on hold forever?

Had the same issue at the time of booking. Went into My Bookings after and was able to add my AAdvantage number to the booking.
It was a bit weird when doing it, though I couldnt directly select the program drop-down field, but had to first select the next field on the screen, then pressed the up arrow on the iOS keyboard. On a Windows PC, I it is the equivalent of pressing Shift-Tab?
[EDIT] Come to think of it, I might have had to access the booking via the MH app to make the change, not sure if I went through the website? In either case, the booking now shows my AAdvantage number there.
