Feel free to believe what you like. Fact is MH are now sending B737s to do some of the MH127 KUL-PER and MH126 PER-KUL flights. Seems like there is a shortage of A330 airframes right now, so I can believe they were doing some juggling in the days up to the 11th August when they made the decision to send the narrow bodies.
