Upgrade Advice
I have an economy promo ticket BKK-KUL for Thursday, the 29th, and no status with MH or OW. The initial flight is a 737. I checked MH upgrade and it was showing the minimum bid of $135 USD, which seemed high to me. I did see that Expert Flyer showed only 1 available seat in business class which could explain the high price. Checking today it looks like business is sold out now.
MH made a change to the flight time yesterday and I didn't like the new time so I got them to switch me to a later flight on the 330. That flight is showing at least 9 business tickets available, but MH upgrade stills show the same minimum of $135. Is that a new normal minimum for this route? The MH upgrade thread shows some much lower bids accepted.
Is the minimum based upon the original flight and isn't going to change?
Anyone have any idea of what the price to buy an upgrade at check in will be?
