Deciphering fare rules

Will be ariving in SIN with QR at 15:45, and looking to do SIN - KUL - DPS - BKI with MH in J (need TP'S to retain BAEC gold)

There are 2 evening flights from SIN - KUL, either 19:15 or 21:15. If the QR flight lands on time I should be able to make the earlier flight, but I am mindful of the consequences of missing it. The fare rules has a section on changes which includes the following "GO SHOW ON EARLIER FLIGHT ON THE SAME DAY OF DEPARTURE ALLOWED WITHOUT CHARGE". Does this mean that if I book the 21:55 flight I will be allowed on the 19:15 departure FOC if I turn up in time?

Yes, you may.

That is a common feature of most tkts departing from SIN on MH.

in fact, even for restrictive tkts out of SIN, the check in staff may sometimes allow you to take an earlier flight if it is not a busy day. Almost like a shuttle service.

Thanks for the advice.

So if I make the earlier MH flight, but there is no availability in J will I be allowed to travel in Y (would rather do this than wait another 2 hrs in the airport). If I can, will I still get TP's for the J class booking?
