MH "out of sequence policy"

Hi all,

A quick question.

I have seen reports of nested tickets being cancelled with MH quoting their "out of sequence" policy. Yet I can find no such policy in their general T&Cs, only in the Enrich terms (for award bookings).

I have an itinerary coming up as follows:

Code:
A BKK-KUL-TPE
<immediate turn>
B TPE-KUL-DPS
<immediate turn>
C DPS-KUL-PEN
<stay in Penang for 3 nights>
C PEN-KUL-DPS
<immediate turn>
B DPS-KUL-TPE
<immediate turn>
A TPE-KUL-BKK

Is this likely to give me issues ?

Thanks in advance !

Where have you seen these reports? on FT?

Nothing wrong with nesting tickets.

“Award Travels tickets will be automatically void if sectors on the tickets are used out of sequence.”

Well, you are not taking your flights out of sequence as per MH definition unless you miss a sector. You are going to be fine.

You mght encounter problems in TPE.. I wouldn't recommend it. It is the TPE airport authorities.. and DPS> Where you might have to pay for the departure tax especially if you're arriving and leaving on same aircraft..

Tpe has never been an issue for a turnaround, indonesia already includes all taxes in the tickets for at least 5 years now. DPS could be interesting - saw a proper transfer desk airside and if it works could take under 10 minutes to get back to gates. Do report back!

TPE turnarounds are fine.

I know people who even had time for a cigarette and pineapple tart shopping while waiting for the return flight.

  • TPE is just under an hour both times. Added to which I will be arriving into TPE from Thailand and departing to Indonesia, albeit via Malaysia
  • DPS is 4 hours 20 the first time and 7 hours 10 the second so hopefully long enough to sort out any issues...
In all 4 cases, I will only have a carry-on and should have been able to get a BP for the next sector the previous day.

We shall see anyway and I will of course report back

On occasion.... 2 cigarettes and a browse through the electronics store. TPE is a very easy turnaround.

Hi! I have a question about MH metal immediate return at DPS.

MH715 KUL-DPS 0900/1205
MH714 DPS-KUL 1310/1605

Would it be safe to do so? Can I get Boarding Pass for my return flight at KUL?

Thanks!

No BP at KUL but you can try at the transfer counter at dps. Pls do share the result.
