Cost cutting? No more guava juice.
Well as most here know, MH doesn't serve alcohol in business on short flights. I used to opt for guava juice on those flights. Until today.. Did two flights and on both there was no guava juice. Both times some lame excuse about "not loading on board"... Yes, I noticed!
Have other people observed this as well, or am I just unlucky today? I kinda suspect this is yet another cost cutting measure.. Let's see. |

The FA on my fourth flight without guava juice could confirm guava juice has been discontinued on narrow body planes.... Only available on wide bodies from now on.
Seems the new CEO has got his priorities sorted... |

Two days ago another passenger was eating his Whopper in Business Class.. I'm not sure how strictly it's enforced since I've never done it (or seen it happen) but officially, it's not allowed. |
I have just completed 4 flights on MH over last 10 days and they all had guava juice, though KUL to HKG I had to ask for it, but it was there.

Just did a bkkkul and kulsin today.. indeed they did not have guava juice onboard.. |
They had guava juice during my KUL-BKK mileage run in May. Not sure if they changed it yet

That was surprising. Always ordered one when I am in the 737 J-class. I liked the guava juice but I always thought it taste exactly like https://eshop.tesco.com.my/groceries...cts/7070377278 which you can see, is not very expensive..
