What ever unfortunately event that happened, it must have happen very quickly since all communication, transponder and tracking stopped at once. Explosion?

My thoughts goes to family and friends of the people on board.

Prayers to everyone onboard. I saw the CNN and BBC alerts flash across my iPhone and my heart sank. Same feeling as when I saw the Asiana 777 SFO incident splash across the news wires.

First off, certainly my thoughts and prayers are with those on board and their families.

I'm surprised this wasn't reported on sooner, and more information availiable since the aircraft lost contact with ATC not long after take off.

Planes dont just disappear for 7 hours, the writing is on the wall and I got a bad feeling here. My thoughts are with the passengers, crew and their loved ones.

Data ends not too long after takeoff.

Looks bad.
Im sure it cant be good . As for the data though if you look at previous days it would appear that flight goes into a black hole of data for most of the flight other than ascent, a few blips at cruise, and then some data on descent sometimes

This is not good. I am hoping for the best. But it isnt looking good.
I could have heard wrong but I heard that they had just sent search and rescue not long ago. Why does it take that many hours for them to respond? Because it was still dark?
