I thought this was an interesting story in relation to how well the search imagery was being analysed, and hence not miss any debris: MH370 search uncovered shipwrecks from 19th Century - BBC News.
Also
:
Two shipwrecks found during a failed search for Malaysia Airlines flight 370 were merchant vessels that sank in the 19th Century, researchers say.
The ships, discovered 2,300km (1,400 miles) off Western Australia, have been narrowed down by experts to a handful of coal-carrying British vessels.
... and was found ... 4km below water level.

A private US firm began another search for the plane earlier this year. Now in its final weeks, it has not turned up any clues.

MH370 may have crashed near Madagascar, underwater microphones suggest
News article on the ABC (Australia that is) web site
Full article here - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-01-...-site/10767550
A study of underwater sound waves recorded on the day the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 disappeared suggests a different route and a possible crash site north-east of Madagascar, if indeed the data is from the missing plane.

CNN had an interview yesterday with the author of a new book proposing that the pilot hijacked the plane.

There really isn't any doubt about that, it is only a matter of establishing the motive. See my post from a few days after the incident where I provided speculation that the pilot was blackmailed.
