Any updates on the closure of the Satellite Lounge and the reopened Regional Lounge?

Regional is still not open as of 9 Oct...

Target date is supposedly 12 Oct, but we'll see.

Main lounge still open as sat in it now, they have put the 12th Oct date back apparently although this is my first time using and frankly its rubbish, no drinks available with three normal choices of drink all greeted with ‘sorry we dont have any’ no food on the buffet options, literally all empty, no snacks either.

I have used a fair few business lounges but this is up there with the worst.

The domestice which we used for KUL/KUC is closed ans you are directed to a grotty little open area with no toilets, very poor food options, no alcholoic drinks and grouchy staff so again pretty poor.

The only half decemt lounge was the KUC Golden which although small was fairly friendly and a few choices of food whilst waiting.

Hope that helps?

Seems the pillows and bathroom glasses were Donated by AUH! Will check it out soon, taking that the satellite lounge would be closed?

Nice to see that they did at least take the effort to set up a First & Platinum (I assume Emerald) section. Keeping riff raff out.. (a joke).

Any improvement from F&B point? From the photos I see a very western style theme (hope that the Asian side was kept or improved).

Cheers!

btw: Thanks for the first photos...much appreciated

Boarding time is normally given with a buffer, on top of what actual boarding time ends being, so everyone doesn't turn up at the gate 30minutes before. 1hr seems fairly standard, even when actual boarding starts 30mins before departure?

Looks like MH would be standardising this across both international and domestic?

Is that an image of a private bar in the first class section? If so, is the selection of drinks different?
