wow. why MH dosen't just leave the drinks to be self service, as they used to be still baffles me.
cost wise they can't be much savings having to hire 2-3 bar tenders per shift ... on 2 shifts a day

having a bar that closes when the lounge is still open does NOT give a premium feel at all.

What I meant by less premium is that it falls short of most lounges which serve alcohol 24h.
With hotel cocktail hours, if a brand practices say a 1-hour slot instead of the standard 2 hours would be pretty strange to me.
Have you been served by a MH bartender before ? I think half of them do not drink for religious reasons. Compound that with basic to no training , nor a premium beverage list ... there is almost no point for them to be there.
p/s : does CX have their own lounge now in SG ?
Right, sadly for Malaysia this might explain it.

I was in there last week and ordered a gin and tonic at the bar. They had no idea and put such a small amount of gin in it was just a tonic and lemon...

I flew through KL a lot last week, so frequented the refurbished regional lounge many times.
There were crowding issues due to renovations of the Satellite lounge, but I thought it was a nice lounge with good food, baristas and seating.
However, I found the bathrooms (especially shower rooms) dirty, even though they have an entire staff dedicated to maintenance. I was directed to a shower that had used towels on the ground and this is after an attendant had checked it. Also, the showers cannot seem to keep a stable water temperature.

Do not expect quality from Malaysian-led companies. Then maybe, once in a while you can get a pleasant surprise.
I'm afraid the new CEO will not do the company any good.
