The reality is you can't go three months in Malaysia without bumping into some major exodus/holiday period - be in Chinese New Year, the school holidays, Eid. That timing is really about as good (or bad) as any...

December might be actually a slower month in Malaysia, hoping that the satellite lounge opens before CNY!

Well, Its 10am 29th September and Regional Lounge is still not open - upside am sat in Starbucks using The Lounge's wifi - which is superfast!

The latest travel advisory on MH website suggests that the new regional lounge will open on 03-Oct-17, and on the same day, the Satellite lounge will be closed for extensive renovations until 22-Jan-18.

I wonder if the Regional Lounge will be separated into a business class section and a first class section...

Unlikely. It didn't have it before, and I doubt it will. The flights with F are at the Satellite (including BA), so it's rather pointless to have a regional FCL that caters only to OWEs.

Well, the First Class lounge caters mainly for OWEs anyways these days...how many flights with F does MH have (appart from 2x LHR on MH and 1x BA)?
I had one manager from MH telling me that there is a chance that MH will move all of it's operations to the Main Terminal, close the Satellite lounge and transit desks....now it seems that this will not be the case. Your point remains valid though...given the refurbishment of the satellite lounge, there is virtually 0 chance of an F section in the Regional lounge.

Sleeping rooms in renovated F lounge?
Any rumours/indications that the refurbished F lounge in the satellite terminal will continue to have the sleeping rooms?
