Here are a couple of photos of the MO tower as construction continues on it and the other parts of the City Center project:

it will basically only compete with FS. might get some from wynn tower and skylofts as well.

rooms to pool >
tower and villas @ wynn ~ 653
palms place - 599
FS - 424

MO will have 400 rooms and 227 residences. will be interesting to see if service stacks up, could become the standard bearer in vegas.

now that harmon will only have 400 rooms, im looking forward to it even more. been delayed a year though.

The big plus point at MO Vegas is GM, Rajesh Jhingon, who is a great opening GM (Oberoi Amarvilas, Taj Exotica Maldives, and refurb of MO Singapore). He has real attention to detail and is a great motivator for staff, so I would expect something really special at MO Vegas.

This photo was taken about three weeks ago, looking across the Strip from the Encore Tower Suites driveway:

In addition to the CityCenter towers identified by Kagehitokiri, if you look to the right of the MonteCarlo sign you can see a small sliver of the Bellagio main building and also a bit of the Caesars Augustus Tower.

Also, to clarify, the photo of the stalled Echelon project was taken on 01/13/09, while the MO photos were taken on 01/27/09.

Boyd Gaming, which hoped to resume work on its stalled Echelon resort on the Strip next year, says the deteriorating economy will likely delay those plans through the end of 2009.
