New thread for "unusually good" deals at luxury locales

either >
- really good deals, like 50% off
- "usual" deals like free nights, but at hotels that rarely if ever have deals

----

http://www.princeresortshawaii.com/m...kbh-spring.php
mauna kea beach hotel in month of may - pay 3 nts, 4th nt free, 5th-31st nts $199

rates from ($499 x 3 = $1497) and (27 x $199 = $5373)

"Available on all room categories, including the $3,650 Presidential Suite"
"Some restrictions and blackout dates apply"
presumably not applicable to http://www.princeresortshawaii.com/m...te-retreat.php

There are currently very low rates for Taj Exotica on Jetsetter, IIRC around $800/night++ for overwater with pool.

I tend not to book through third-party websites, but occasionally will if threre is an especially good deal. I have had some success at getting certain hotels to match 3rd party advertised rates.

Does this apply to all club room categories? I would specifically be interested in the Club Grand Deluxe category (formerly Junior Suite).

Thanks, for yours and lucycan's reference.

Since one of them posted the offer, it seems fair....

I agree, such third party websites often list rack rates for comparison, when in fact lower flexible or advance purchase rates are available.

Often forgone benefits (mainly upgrade potential) and flexibility make these offers less attractive. I have never booked through jetsetter etc, and probably only would if rates were substantially lower than I could otherwise negotiate. Direct or Virtuoso, lhw, etc.. bookings probably receive priority for villa allocation within category booked.

Wow. That is amazing. I will be there at the end of May which is nice time of year there. You guys should book the oceanfront rooms on the cliff at these rates. That is a steal.
