GDS - has been described above. The benefit now is that the preferred partner agencies can book the preferred rates on the "GDS" bookings and the rate information will confirm what you are due to receive as you would any hotel booking that has extras as part of the rate. Bit more difficult for the hotel to "miss" the amenities.

The Dolder Grand, Zurich

Anniversary Delight for all stays in April 2009 - Link

Pay 1 night, get 1 free
Pay 2 nights, get 2 free
Pay 3 nights, get 3 free
Pay 4 nights, get 4 free

Make the normally sky-high rates much more bearable... According to the news her, the Dolder is really suffering from the current situation.

That promo from the MO in GVA looks real good especially with the new UA route from IAD. That could be a fun weekend trip. Also GVA is one of the most expensive cities in Europe along with Moscow.

I am not surprised that the RC Condos are having trouble selling. I was in MIA early this year for the Ravens Playoff game and all of the new condo buildings in Downtown on the bay were 25% full and having trouble selling. This includes the FS. Now is really the time to buy if the price is right and if someone has the funds to do so.

The rate calendar at MO.com shows the Geneva deal is only valid on Fri/Sat/Sun nights.

Looks like this offer can be combined with a guaranteed upgrade and Virtuoso amenities.

how high do the virtuoso guaranteed upgrades go? is this standard for 2009, or a promo?

can you get a guaranteed upgrade on Suite Temptations (4th nt free) ?
- exec suite $1295 > $971
- central park suite $1495 > $1121
- premier central park suite $1695 > $1271
(base rate > after discount)

regular base room rates run $600 > $900
i cant get Extra Fun-Day Away (3rd nt free) to pull up online. what are the rates? from $900 ($600 after discount) seems too high, but maybe confirmed upgrade makes it worth it?

Valid until Sep 20.
Raffles offer above seems good, although I cant tell exactly as dont have specific rates. However, surely there will be a better offer around sometime, because if the Virtuoso one was that special it wouldnt be made available for almost the whole year? I would have expected "special offers" to be a short term thing.

p.s. what are the "usual" Virtuoso amenities at Raffles?
p.p.s Damn Raffles for choosing his username and making it hard to search for Raffles Hotel posts!

From now until September 7, 2009, Mandarin Oriental, New York will be confirming the upgrade for our Virtuoso partners. Upgrade will be to the next room category when booking a room OR to the next suite category when booking a suite

It isn't clear if the offer can be combined - but I guess you would ask at the time of booking as the promo includes virtuoso amenities
