FlyerEC, I’m curious what your issue(s) were, if you’re willing to share?
Well , the teams from right from those in front & F and B who know yours truly , like they do you , were not present .. the newbies were around & doing their routine / SOP without thinking - especially the new manager ..
almost boiled down to “ DYKWIA “ ?
From what seems to be the case , photos of “ regulars “ are shown , like at AMANs.. so they can recognise guests ..

Will be interesting how these new ones will fare with the upcoming F1 weekend

Ah, that makes sense. I could see how if the star employees are absent, the whole thing crumbles.

I have found it interesting that there is a manager-type that I see often around the hotel, yet he only seems to be on a “mission” to greet one or two guests (who are not me - I’ve never met the hotel managers)

Not meant to be a DYKWIA post, but the best hotel (and restaurant) managers that I’ve met will go around to many folks to see how things are

Tobias (HM) is actually very present, he was even handing out menus in 190 when they were short staffed... kudos. Though I will not return to 190 for breakfast, will stick to club or IRD... during our last stay they did not manage to get one breakfast right, first day 190 was a zoo as mentioned before with 40 minutes wait times for coffee, second morning we tried the bar for ŕ-la-carte breakfast which also ended up taking over an hour to come and third morning was in-room dining -- they forgot part of the order and then decided to charge for items over limit -- something that has never happened to us before. Rather frustrating... will have breakfast in club next time around. But they are listening and most of the team is receptive to feedback, as they should be. I have great hope they will gradually improve.

Tried afternoon tea with FlyerEC during last sojourn, in the Executive Club, which was rather good! Excellent scones. Staff training in progress back then there, too.

Wow, I’ve never seen it that dire at breakfast. Sounds awful

I'd avoid. The property is dated (including the rooms), and the Executive Club is quite limited in comparison to other Singapore hotels. With a renovated MO and the other options now online (also the Capella if you are willing to stay Sentosa), not sure there is a great case for this hotel. And I am a Four Seasons fan generally, so this was quite disappointing.

Capella Singapore is wonderful, but again... an island and far removed.

For me, Raffles. Love the property and it's history.

Need to try MO post reno.

Do they still provide CARPET as bath mats in FS bathrooms? *THAT* is the reason I never return there :-)
