Luxury Hotels of Abu Dhabi
I couldn't find a thread on luxury hotels in AUH other than Emirates Palace on this forum and am wondering why the Rosewood is so cheap? So cheap it's on a discount wholesaler website https://luxuryescapes.com/magazine/rosewood-abu-dhabi/
The suites don't look particularly impressive. |

True - Rosewood Abu Dhabi is not a landmark hotel, just like the neighbouring Four Seasons- it’s also only a business hotel. The FS is nicer in the sense that it’s much newer and therefore crisp in appearance. The two hotels are very different in style, RW quite dark, FS rather bright. To me the RW lobby / lounge is more comfortable, the FS one too open and bright. The rooms at RW are showing a bit of wear and tear, the FS ones of course not. Usually both hotels deliver in terms of the service quality! |
Which hotel has the best view of the mosque? Ritz?
|
While PHs don’t get reviewed in this forum, we had an exceptional stay at the PH AUH in one of the villas https://www.flyertalk.com/hotel-revi...cognition-1108 It appears to be the best option from what I can tell. |

Like @NikonDuser said, the Ritz-Carlton and the Shangri-La. Between the two, I'd definitely recommend the RC. It's one of their best properties I've been to (top 5).
I personally didn’t like the RC at all, far too large, too much walking from one wing to the other, pool doesn’t feel cosy and I find the decor to be lacking class, especially that archway you drive through at the very beginning! |
Edition Abu Dhabi opens
Edition hotel Abu Dhabi is in a soft opening phase. I was never impressed by Edition NYC and probably wouldn't stay here. All of the UAE luxury hotels could be described as "high octane luxury" so what makes Edition different? |
