The loss of the Olympic revenue is huge..... especially since so much was prepaid many many months ago. Mess indeed.

FS Otemachi is opening Sept 1st. The pool looks fantastic and will probably be the site of many selfies. Skytree views for now, unless, some new building comes and obstructs it.

If you were able to go inside, how does this compare to the Mandarin (and their refurbished rooms)?

That looks uncannily like the Conrad pool to me.

Grand Hyatt shouldn't be on that list. Barely luxury.

It'll be a while. Japan is currently not admitting non-essential travelers coming from over 150 countries, including Australia and New Zealand.

Is Hoshinoya really that good? I have never stayed there, but it's been on my list.

.......and sone here would probably argue that PG should be on the list. As it stands, three Hyatts and no Marriott/Bonvoy properties at all.

One could also argue that the Imperial is too large to be true luxury, although it does have several Imperial floors in the main building with special service.

That T&L top ten list is based on reader voting... so that could explain why it doesn't necessarily match up with the views here.
