Best hotel bookable with points for a weekend in Europe

I have some memebership rewards points that I could transfer to one of their hotel partners to book two nights over a weekend in Europe.

It would have to be Club Carlson, Hilton, SPG or Marriott. I have Gold status with all of them.

What you recommend?

What city in Europe? I'm sure it varies based on that, not to mention availability.

ild consider instead of transferring (because the value isn’t great) to maybe look into paying with MR points. For example, it’s a 3:1 ratio for SPG. So 100,000 MR that yields only 33K spg which doesn’t get you much. Paying with points is 1 cpl so That opens up a lot more possibilities.

Prince de Galles, Paris is an obvious good choice.

Perhaps I didn’t explained my intentions well.

The question is, if I were to choose a wonderful hotel in any city, where the only criteria is that I could book it with points, what would it be?

By the way, in UK 2 MR points convert into 1 SPG point.

Agreed. It would depend heavily on your preferences. Modern, old world, happening, city, countryside, sports, food, etc. Perhaps give us a clue?

I tend to agree on Gritti. Good to extreme good value on points. I am booked for next June because I really want to maximize all SPG has to offer before any potential Marriott ruinings.

Might be a good advice: book an SPG top resort on points because this might be your last chance.

especially over holidays, SPG allows awards when entry rates are $4K, $5K, + per night

SPG also has suite awards, from SU entry suite to SU4, with highest bookable varying

marriott already allows non-participation: RC reserve, bvlgari, RC singapore, others

RC singapore is largest RC

Yea curious about that - why is Ritz-Carlton Millenia Bay Singapore not bookable on points? I can understand Ritz-Carlton Reserve and Bulgari to maintain an air of exclusivity, but what's special about the Singapore property?

Depending on what city may be preferable, I’d say the absolute best hotel award redemptions possible in Europe would be:

(1) Gritti Palace Venice
(2) St Regis Florence
(3) Hotel Imperial Vienna or Park Hyatt Vienna, depending on whether you like spectacular Old World service or modern sexiness
(4) Prince de Galles Paris or Park Hyatt Vendome Paris, depending on style and location preference

We’ve had award redemptions or visited each of the hotels except for the StR Florence—where we are staying in Sept/Oct.

We would pick the Gritti again in a heartbeat, loving the hotel as much as we loved Venice. But the Imperial was even more amazing than Vienna for us.

For getting the most value from your points, the Gritti is probably going to be the choice, too. Followed by the Paris options.

Stay before March 5 and use the paradise is closer promo:
Bucket List Bound

Not combinable with P&C but 5th night free still applies!

Now that I think about it: not Europe obviously but would Dubai be an option? If you want to burn and maximize points, Al Maha? Wonderful, wonderful property. Can’t recommend high enough!
