MacMyDay , it is really hot in June / July if you are planning on Giri .
Is LA the reason as only decent connection to Laucala ?

The options of direct flights into Fiji in June are: Tokyo (too wet), Sydney and Auckland (too cold), Seoul (too boring), Singapore & Hong Kong (been too often). So LA it is.

There's always Frank Sinatra's sprawling mid-century home in Palm Springs which you can book through Luxury Retreats, VRBO and airbnb.

Ojai Valley Inn may suit. Convenient to LA in beautiful country. It is renown for its spa and general relaxation.

Eager to hear about your stays, MacMyDay.
Here's another BC lodge that looks wonderful, assuming they are flexible about communal dining which usually is not my cuppa. Plus it's difficult with in tow as he can be incoherent if you're not used to him and I am not always gracious about moderating/translating.

Thanks for thinking of me, Kat. It is very pricey considering they are only taking you Heli fishing for 2 days out of the seven. Husband says going rate for one week fishing at the places he used to go to is now 8-10K per week. That is fishing everyday via float plane. Not helicopters. In New Zealand prices were $1500 per day for non sharing helicopter. We were quoted a price of $5000 for a morning helicopter fishing expedition in Kenya when we went on safari. Thankfully we were told landing was iffy and he couldn’t go.
Heading to Belize next week to Copal Tree Lodge. Will see if it has enough birds to make you happy.

Standard rooms are $950 per person per night, not including a 23% ranch fee (including tips and taxes). It does include all activities on site. The cabins are much nicer than the intro rooms, but the price escalates quickly. They are members of Virtuoso so you may be able to get upgraded rooms with a travel agent. The Homestead, which is $9000 per night is the former vacation home of the owners Beth and Bruce White.
As returning guests, we had been offered a 15% discount, but never cabin upgrades when we made reservations on our own. And this was being a repeat guest for five years.
The 23% ranch fee is a killer.
Brush Creek has been doing a lot of advertising for the Farm. What the new addition will do is add more options for weddings and ranch buyouts.
We will be trying A Bar A Ranch which is nearby. Steve will be able to fish the same type of water. It will be interesting to see the comparison.

Lodge at Blue Sky now open. Link below to an article/puff piece including some pix. It's architecture and furnishings, general style, does not appeal to me but will be attractive to many here. Honestly, I can't wait for the various younger generations to age sufficiently for knees and hips to groan when attempting to rise from all those low-slung chairs, lounges and sofas.

visited this place a few weeks ago, loved it. wasn't expecting luxury but great chef, great facilities, great views from the rooms, nice sauna. you could probably rent the place for yourself less than what some would pay at Clayoquot
