This is absolutely appalling behavior and "service recovery" (snort) by Ani Villas Anguilla.
While I had been considering a stay - at a different Ani property - the absolutely antithetical to "Luxury" experience you had at Ani Villas Anguilla immediately dissuaded me from so doing.

even saying no to any recovery would have been better.
0.7 & 1.41 nights is odd. equal to charges billed at villa?
<i dont want to go off topic, so i might start/bump another thread, but im curious about experiences/practices/thoughts re this, as ive considered organizing small buyouts/groups, sharing hotel villas with people, etc, involving people who have less luxury travel experience vs this forum.>
on topic, also makes me wonder about confirming rate details, whether hotels (if large expenses are supposed to be included) or villas, and even after one has confirmed, if there can be problems and what end result is. (as the usual tiny credits via agents are never a concern to property.)
in this case, not sure if it sounds like some at ani are trying to suggest it was DSI who did not understand rates/inclusions, etc.

Not sure how it will affect Ani Villas, but I just learned that Malliouhana's GM (John Vasatka) left and is now listed as "CEO of Ani Villas" as of November 2017. Ani is off my list after this thread, but given Mr. Vasatka's previous history with Aman, one can hope that some things that went so wrong may be corrected in time.
