Anything nice in Sihanoukville, Cambodia?

Ideally a reasonable tuk tuk or walk from the nightlife?

The only thing I can find is http://songsaa.com/. Its a private island resort. But price is quite good for AI.

I stayed here in 2014 for 6 nights. Unfortunately we stayed here right after Amanpulo, so it was only ever going to disappoint, but it is a very nice, eco focused resort. I've since been to better places, so would be unlikely to return, but that is not the same as saying it is not a good resort, only that I feel I've done it and there is no reason to return. My main advice would be to avoid a water villa, as they offer very little privacy.

I'm looking for something on the mainland close to nightlife. Would be going with a group to party for NYE. Don't want to be too isolated.

Theyre opening an Alila and Six Senses there.
The Alila has been delayed for years, looking like this summer possibly.
Six Senses....who cares about them.

Sihanoukville is a TERRIBLE place. Disgusting town filled with shoddy hotel/casinos for Chinese tourists and a smelly and polluted beach. There's a nice-ish beach ~20 min away by tuk-tuk and I suppose if you take a ferry to some of the islands they might be nice, but Sihanoukville itself should be avoided.
