Haven't been to Astana since that property opened, but the Ritz-Carlton in Almaty would be tough to beat. One of the best RC I've been to. Will be checking out the JW Marriott and 4S in Baku in Sept and will report back.

Absolutely, great rooms. I was shocked. I didn't expect much.

I thought the shower was one of the best I've ever been in. The rooms were okay. Breakfast was horrible.

Even though it looks decent , am somewhat wary about The Alexander , a Luxury Collection Hotel , Yerevan . Has anyone been or going ?
Perhaps on Bonvoy points ?

Now that we have stayed at a Luxury Collection Hotel , Hotel Imperial in Vienna , & coming away with mixed feelings about this top end Marriott series .

Perhaps if the stay was prior to FS Gresham Palace , it may not have been as “ bad “ . Not Aman for sure . Will post in another thread later .

Perhaps one can be hopeful , also for Hotel Stamba ..

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I was in Georgia and Azerbaijan last October.

Absolutely second SanDiego1K in saying stay at Rooms Kazbegi. Thanks to her help we knew to stay a few nights there, which we very much enjoyed.

Also stayed at Rooms in Tiblisi, which was nice, but Stamba is better (it had recently opened and they were so proud they wanted us to take a tour).

FS Baku blew us away, and the QPR is insanely great.

We used Advantour who organized a trip for two of us, customizing it as I wanted. I used them for an earlier trip of two of the 'stans. I was well pleased with both trips.

Thanks SanDiego1K , Advantour was among those my friend reached out to . Think they were not too responsive . Waiting to hear further from others who did follow up , and if any on this forum too .

I used Yuriy Klyuev of Advantour who has relocated to Tbilisi from Tashkent. Friends used him for their trip to the 'stans and are in Uzbekistan at this moment. Email him directly if you want a quote at firstnamelastname @advantour.com.

Quality to Price Ratio

We had a wonderful suite for an insanely cheap (by Western standards) price.

Ah yes, of course. My brain was going in another direction and I was trying to figure out what hotel it was.

Thanks for responding.
