Any experience with this Isle of Eriska property? It's only a lilttle over an hour from Inverlochy Castle but it really seems quite lovely. Wondering whether we should just add an extra night at Inverlochy vs a separate stay at Eriska?

We added Eriska and dropped London entirely. (Sorry, Bulgari London--and more air con--but you'll have to wait.)
Our final itinerary:
3 nights: The Glasshouse, Edinburgh (Lady Glenorchy Suite w terrace)
4 nights: The Boath House, Nairn (Miekle Cottage, where we got engaged)
2 nights: The Torridon, Wester Ross (1887 Suite)
1 night: Three Chimneys House Over-By, Skye (Junior suite)
2 nights: Kinloch Lodge, Skye (Suite)
2 nights: Inverlochy Castle Hotel, Ft. William (Queen's Suite--too appropriate)
2 nights: Isle of Erska Hotel/Spa, Oban (Hilltop Reserve)
1 night: Glasgow hotel TBD (probably Cameron House if renovations completed in time, or Hotel du Vin)
Any experience with Glasgow luxury hotels?
This will be our longest holiday ever in Europe. Not to mention the longest period I'll have traveled without air con. A testament to how much we love Scotland and the Highlands.
I seriously did ask my husband if we could ship over or purchase a portable air con unit to bring with us, however.

Though without venting, I'm not sure it will do much for me. That hotter air has to go somewhere...always.

Coincidentally we are now considering the Dakota Glasgow. Our friends in Glasgow highly recommended it as one of the nicer and more modern 4* options in townand near all the finest restaurants. And with air con!

Some small issues with service. You had to keep a look out for your own taxis, which when it's pouring means walking up and down the block. The hotel is a series of connected houses so for taxis or car service it's not apparent which of about four or five front doors is the entrance from the hotel - and this stretches a full block i believe.
That said, I would stay again, although i would also look at other options.

We enjoyed Hotel du Vin. High ceilings with large windows - beautiful four-poster bed - lots of space - a nice restaurant but as I recall about 15 minutes by taxi from the center. They have quite a few different room types.

in the ulikely event that the Cameron House renovation is finished by April (preferably with air con), we might consider switching. The Loch views and cooler surroundings (and proximity to the GLA airport) might convince us.
