Unless something changed... many of the Elephants at the two golden triangle resorts are rescued from poor conditions. They also sponsor The Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation. Elephants & tourists in Thailand don't mix everywhere, but these resorts are hardly part of the problem.
