OK, that looks incredible. You may have just cost us an extra $60-70K to do Antarctica, but damn if that doesn't look like it's worth every penny. And it starts in my favorite city on the planet, to boot. Win-win as we spend more-more. THANKS!

they fly out of capetown so combinable with some of bhrubin's favorites

antarcticaxxi.com/mv-sea-explorer/ ~100 pax upscale (E1)
if it still embarks from king george island then that might be best itinerary
antarctica tourism reports list ship sizes and landings
[and i also found some inexpensive charter yachts]
[some] details on various [cruise] routes >
antarcticabound.com/antarctica-routes.php
its unfortunate i presume superyacht owners dont let operators resell cabins
i linked two hanse explorer antarctica 2012 book a cabin trips, one had diving

hopefully will be repeated in future (books cabins) >

hmm, maybe operator could work with those / hotel yachts, reselling cabins
(almost all hotel yachts including aman indonesia are charter only)
wakatobi's yacht books cabins but would be another possibility for it
(FS explorer books cabins, might take too long to get to best locations)

anyone heard updates for awasi iguazu? on argentina side of falls.

Seeing Emperor penguins is the highlight for the white desert trip. It is no longer possible to see Emperor penguins if you do the regular Antarctica cruise. It would be a real shame just to spend 10-12 hours in Antarctica.

for some of us it may be easier to consider doing $20K option in lieu of cruise

added 3 nt (aug 10-13) & 4 nt (sep 7-11) ; usually 6 nts
alilahotels.com/purnama/destination/komodo
alilahotels.com/purnama/experiences/komodo
alilahotels.com/documents/alila_purnama/alila-purnama-komodo-itinerary.pdf

apparently some nonluxury yachts still do book-a-cabin trips to antarctica
and actually luxury hanse explorer charter seems comparable to white desert

The Remote Resort Fiji

I've just booked a week's stay at The Remote Resort near TVU in Fiji.

I think this fits the OP's criteria quite well, particularly with regard to the diving. The Rainbow Reef is 20mins away by boat. After its recent expansion, I believe the resort now accommodates a total of 14 people.

I'll be sure to post a full trip report upon my return.

alila's maumere-ambon had alor which seemed good as well

unfortunately mostly villas. they sometimes do nonguest skiing at crested butte (villa has its own private mountain - it used to be a public ski resort - with well regarded skiing)

speaking of Clayoquot - also has Cloud Camp >
