What is your favorite hotel LOBBY?
I happen to be a lobby-sitter.
I enjoy hotel lobbies. I should have been a Lobbyist
What are your favorite lobbies in the grand hotels you have visited?
I've got so many it's hard to squeeze to one, but, for the sake of starting a list:
Grand Wailea, Maui
It's pristine, spacious, and elegant at registration. Yet opulent, uniquely grand, and stately tropical in the main area.

The Peninsula Chicago is a lovely place to sit and people watch.
The Willard in DC, likewise.
Claridge's has a wonderful airy lobby, and when it's not full of tourists, is a nice place to sit.

Do you mean the entire first floor? The front entrance lobby by itself is... just marble to me. I happen to be filled up on martinis just about everytime I pass it though so my judgement could be off.

There are so many that I can think of but here are a few in no particular order (and all for different reasons
The American Colony in Jerusalem
The Four Seasons George V in Paris
The Hotel de Cap in Cap d'Antibes
and for some strange reason The Four Seasons Washington DC

My tops are two in Paris.
FS-George V. I'm not a big flower guy, but what they do with flowers is truly special.
Plaza Athenee Paris. (mainly the lobby corridor lounge) It is a quintessential parisienne experience to have lunch there and watch the people. Amex FHR includes a free lunch in this lobby restaurant during your stay. We ordered two glasses of champagne (which was clearly stated as not being included in the free lunch), making this the most expensive free lunch (€80) that I've ever had!
