Soon heading to a villa in CPT. The fact that it is unstaffed may be a good thing after the disaster at Ani Villas Anguilla, which is staffed.

M . S . Regatta , Alaska Peaks , Parks & Preserves 10 Days Vancouver Roundtrip 31 May

M . S . Regatta

M . S . Regatta , Alaska Peaks , Parks & Preserves 10 Days Vancouver Roundtrip 31 May (20 Photos)

M . S . Regatta

Loved our suite with expansive balcony with loungers , table & chairs  . Good for scouting / spotting wildlife & well , views

Liked that is was a smaller ship

Check In

Check in was efficient & smooth after a long trekIMG_5670.JPGIMG_5673.JPG

Decisions , decisions

IMG_5674.JPG

Pod of about 20 humpbacks early morning of 1 or 2 June

IMG_5744.JPG

What a pleasant gorgeous surprise !! Missed by many on board

IMG_5872.JPGIMG_5876.JPG

Service

Had butler service for our suite , really helps with loads of luggage especially at end of cruise

Meals at the various restaurants were generally enjoyable , when one is able to " train " those new to Oceania standards;)

Dining

One of many surf and turf - lobster and steak - meals . Beautifully and simply done , delicious . The meals were a delight .

IMG_5785.JPGPortion of breakfast , Swedish pancakes and waffles with lemon custard

IMG_5966.JPG

One of many tea times , daily menu variations

IMG_6800.JPG

Dessert , ice creams and sorbets different daily too

IMG_5788.JPGChose Oceania again because of the cuisine .

Team can cope with my diet restrictions ( allergies ) and will custom meals too , off menu like Aman , if they have the ingredients ;) !!

We could have room service any time but only did for " extras " at breakfast and tea time .

Tea is served every afternoon in The Horizon Lounge , except for one day at the Terrace Cafe , very fine tea service but not quite English .. but

scones , cakes , canapés , finger sandwiches  ..

Overall

Had a wonderful time , on this ship which is one in the smaller series

Sorry about this truncated review , still figuring out how to edit / post .

May improve with less jet lag ;) , iPad typos

Including these test photos which I hope you enjoy , they seem to pop up wherever ..

Mods , please feel free to move to relevant forum /  thread . Thanks much :)

Room

Living area : Mid cruise

Living area : Start of cruise ?

Our suite was spacious with separate living area and bedroom which is the earlier photos . You can see the sofa and 2 armchairs here . There is also a round dining table and a large flat screen TV . There is another TV  , albeit smaller in the bedroom , but if one chose to , it was possible to watch 2 shows / talks simultaneously ;)

The wardrobes and drawers were generous ! That's the beauty of cruising and sufficiently held all our our belongings from 4 sizeable luggage plus hand carry :) Yes , enough clothes hangers too and we could have asked for more . Our pressed clothes too .

Location

Liked the itinerary and timing of this cruise ( + before the college / school vacations began ;) ) .3_IMG_6813.JPG

Drop a line if you've got any time while at the RC Laguna Niguel!

I definitely hope you'll do a TR/ER after your stay at Mystique, as well.

Is oman in August a very bad idea? I'm thinking of going in a month. I know u can't do much hiking, but curious. I asked before and didn't get a clear answer.

I would like to say I was impressed with the Belmond Charleston Place. They upgraded me to the club floor and it was a lot nicer than I expected.

July
No plans

August
B-Lodge, St. Tropez (DEFINITELY not a luxury hotel )
Balmoral, Edinburgh
Four Seasons, London
Rented Villa, Mykonos
Le Bristol, Paris
Four Seasons, Beirut

Sept
Four Seasons or Ritz (TBD), Cairo
Mena House, Giza
Burj Al Arab, Dubai

then back home and well see how the rest of the month goes.
