What Y services can I expect on these flights(FRA/KIX/FRA)?
I will use LH740 and LH741 soon and would like to know what Y services I can expect. Because these two flights seem partially day-flight without PTV, I hope I can survive. Please tell me something about the Y foods:
Two hot meals or one hot plus one cold snack?
Will Japanese meal can be chosen?
Will Japanese green tean be served?
Japanese food is ok on these two flights?
Will some snacks between meals can be self-serviced in the galley? japanese soup noodles or just cookies?
Thanks a lot.

As I live in Osaka, I have flown this route quite often. Unfortunately (for you) not in Y lately. But expect two warm meals on the dayflight from Japan to Europe with additional snacks (onigiri or noodle soup) available in the galley. The overnight flight from Europe to Japan has a warm dinner and a breakfast service plus snacks. Green tea is always available. If you want to eat the Japanese meal order it in advance. Especially the day flight feels quite long with no PVT and no power outlet for a private laptop, the really uncomfortable seats and limited space make it feel even longer. Try to upgrade to BIZ if possible. Alternatively flying via ATH will make a BIZ ticket more affordable.
Cheers from Japan.

Well, if you really need to know: you'll get two meals, snacks and drinks will be in the galley to be picked up (too bad you can't get out of your seat when your at the window to take advantage of this offer freely), chocolate bars or other candy has been abandoned a couple of years back, though. FAs will come around with drinks every once in a while. That will depend on the crew -- one crew told me they'd make four trips on the 11 hour flight They'll also bring some Nigiris (filled rice triangles) and Ramen (noodle soop) once.
There will be no in-seat video, and if you are in the first few rows of economy you'll have a hard time seeing the public screen (TFT) because it's hanging too low. The overhead vacuum type displays invariably have pink fringes at the edges (not sure if they were replaced to flat panel on the new Airbus, sorry).
You will feel cramped, unless you manage to get an exit seat (an there too, if you are too "wide"). It will be a mediocre flight experience. Bring your iPod and some things to read. Bring eye mask and ear plugs in case you want to nap for a while. Bring a toothbrush and toothpaste in case you feel you should brush your teeth at least once every 12 hours.
HTB.

Thanks to szg!
Is this Y menu card from NGO to FRA? or FRA to NGO?
