Hi! What a great thread
I am transiting from SQ326 from Singapore to LH258 to Milan Malpensa
I would like to buy a bottle of duty free in Changi. I've read through some of the above and it seems like SQ usually arrives at the non-Schengen B gates - which may or may not be considered "clean" on the day ?
I know Amsterdam "trusts" Singapore LAG bags now - does Frankfurt do the same? Or would there be any opportunity to check my carry on bag before security? Though with a 60 min connection I am not sure I would consider doing that anyway!

If you need to reclear security, remove your bottle from your bag and put it into a separate tray with it's sealed bag. There won't be any issues. The worst-case scenario, the security employees would check the date of your receipt which would be inside your sealed bag.

Ask the duty-free employee at Changi to put your alcoholic beverage to a sealed bag. If your bottle is in a sealed bag, there won't be issues in case you need to reclear security. For intra-Schengen flights or for flights departing from Germany ( unless the arrival country restricts ) there are no restrictions for duty-free purchases bought from another airport.

All duty free at Changi is sealed as the security is at the gate, so no problem with that. But Frankfurt airport website says only intra-EU is acceptable https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en...er-at-fra.html so if that is strictly the case then I wouldn't risk it. But I was more wondering if a) SQ flights always arrive "clean" or b) there is a documented exception for duty free from Singapore anywhere (like Schiphol has)
To answer your questions;
a) SQ flights should arrive clean at Frankfurt Airport; however, from N/S B gates to A/Z gates, the airside shuttle does not run all the time, so you might need to clear security in case the bus doesn't run and it's likely that you might need to clear security in case of a wrong turn at some point.
b) I am sorry, I don't know.

Thanks both. I found some more people saying they've transferred from India etc without a problem as long as it was bagged with the receipt, which it definitely will be + a good chance there wouldn't even be any security, so I think I'll go for it!

Hello there,
Please how long will take a transfer from Schengen A gates to C gates at FRA? Arriving from Prague by Lufthansa (assuming a bus gate in Pier A) and connecting to an intercontinental flight to Muscat by Oman Air (as a Lufthansa partner assuming gates C13-16)?
How long will take a passport control and security check?
Thank you in advance.

This Saturday our LH flight to a Schengen country boarded from A56, only to be bussed across the tarmac to A36 where we'd go up the stairs in the aircraft.
On Sunday our LH flight back docked at B12, but we had to go down the stairs and be bussed to A-S-W.
I don't get it. Why did LH not assign A36 for the outbound and why couldn't we leave on the B12 bridge?
The flight back was already late, and the bussing caused an additional unpublished delay not posted on the status page (it lists docking time at B12) due to the buses not being there when we were ready to deplane, the bussing itself, and a queue to unload at A-S-W. Many connecting pax were not happy, especially those who had to run from A-S-W through the tunnel back to B.

A56 to A36 is bizarre but could have been due to a last minute aircraft change.
B12 arrivals won’t have any obvious way of going landside other than via the tunnel due to the layout of the B concourse.

You're probably right, FlightStats does show a tail number change to the ship that operated the flight 50 minutes before boarding was due to commence. OTOH I've received gate changes in FRA less than 50 minutes before boarding. But maybe they're trying to cut down on that, or they decided against a gate change short notice due to the relatively long distance between A56 and A36.

If the Skyline is back in operation there is a relatively new stop for C gates which is only accessible by non-Schengen passengers. There have been one or two reports in this thread by people who actually used it but I don’t seem to be able to find them. I haven’t used this stop since it opened but I expect passport control before you board the train and security after you get off.

If you are travelling before 24 June there will be no Skyline train connecting A/Z with C and the transfer bus may not be the best option. I suggest going landside on arrival in A, walking across the terminal and clearing C security and passport control.

we will be flying BCN to DEN with a 1 hour 20 min connection time in FRA. We are US passport and reasonably fit. Is this enough connection time? NewbyRunner has gotten us through FRA before, so we hope the magic still works.....thanks
Sorry....I forgot to mention that both flights are Lufthansa

Last time I connected through Frankfurt from US. On first class. I had to exit the airport and walk to the first class terminal.
Is it still the same way once I get into FRA? Do I have to exit the airport?
Thanks
