I'm arriving from NCE (most likely at the B Schengen Bus gate), and departing on US from Concourse C (in business class). Can I enter the B Non-Schengen area to wait at the LH Lounges? Is it possible to go from B Non-Schengen to C airside? I understand that there are two parts of Concourse C, and I can't reach the gates US uses from that LH lounge.

Thanks for your reply. US uses the lower C gates (I don't believe there is a lounge there). How long does it take to get from B Non-Schengen to C, and how many times will I have to pass through security?

It shouldn't take more than 10 mins to walk from one of the lounges to your departure gate.
I'm not sure if there's any security check between B and C since the new security arrangements started in April to separate arriving and departing pax. You will have to go through passport check (and possibly security check?) before entering the B non-Schengen departure area where the two Business Lounges are located. Both Business Lounges have recently been refurbished.

There is no security check between B and C. The lower C gates (2-6) have decentral security just before the gate, and the mid (7-9) and higher (11-15) C gates have a larger security check for those groups of gates. While the walk might be a bit more than 10 minutes the lounges in B probably still are the easist options. For the C ones you need to clear security twice , and the walk isn't a whole lot shorter.
I was under the impression that anyone who is already in the non-Schengen departure area had been security checked in FRA or in one of the Schengen or trusted airports and that moving from one departure area to another did not involve further security check. I'm surprised there is security check when moving from B non-Schengen to the C gates. Is it because these pax cannot be separated from pax coming through passport control close to the lower C gates opposite the duty-free shop?

Priority immigration queue at FRA?
Hello,
Is there a priority immigration queue at FRA for people arriving in J or F?
I'll be coming from Geneva in J and connecting to HKG in LH F. I want to arrive in FRA, go through immigration, then go to the FCT as I have a 3 hour layover.
Anyone know?
Thanks

Arriving from GVA you don't need to pass immigration.

An no, except for the Iris scan there is no priority queue. Then again the lines are very short most of them. I usuall just have one or two people in front of me, and I don't think I've ever waited much more than 5 minutes.

There is no immigration between Germany and Switzerland any more. You need to go thru immigration (or is it called exmigration?) when leaving the Schengen area (where switzerland, germany ans specifically the FCT is in). You do that in the FCT.
There is still customs since Switzerland is not part of the EC.

The problem is that you can't move between all non-Schengen departure areas without mixing with arriving passengers. Wherever that happens you still have to re-clear. This is the case for the B/C connector, and for the train. So moving between the A/B/C non-Schengen areas always involves reclearing security for now.

Only if you are an immigration junkie. Then you first need to leave the Schengen area, re-enter and walk to the FCT to clear immigration again. It can easiely be done within 3 hours.

Since you'll have a BP to HKG they should let you go through passport control and security into non-Schengen departure. You can then turn around immediately and go through passport control again back to Schengen before walking to the FCT.
Sounds like a perfect way to maximise the FRA experience! While you are at it, you can insist on seeing a customs official since you arrived from outside EU so your hand luggage my be checked.

Transiting through FRA
Hello everyone:
I tried a search (here and google) but didn't find the answer to my question. It's been awhile since I've been through FRA (I go through ARN or MUC/DUS; much easier) and have a friend traveling through in a couple days. He is traveling IAD-FRA-XXX. If he checks a bag, will he have to reclaim it at FRA upon transit?
As always, thanks in advance!
Tschüss.
