If you miss the connection LH will reroute you if it makes sense.

Do they use thier *A partners in case of a delay? Is it a common practice?
In the past, I missed twice connections in FRA only then it was inbound (toward Houston) and they rerouted me to different LH flight to a different destination and from there connected me on another flight (rerouted me through Denver to Houston). This time, there's no direct option and the other options (1 stop) are doable (occupancy provided). Do they use the option of partner airlines if possible?
I have another possability to fly those two legs in F (for more miles of course). Will that give me a better chance?

They'll tag your bag as "HOT" (yellow tag) in IAH and maybe you should request "meet and assist" by LH beforehand.

We have a 1:05 connection in FRA on Sat - with the next flight 24 hours later. I just figured if we miss we miss.
We are flying in F on an award if that has any impact here.

In 3 years, I have had 2 tight/missed connections. LH screwed up both times, and was very unapologetic about it.

I fly LH 441 every other month, Last two (October and Early December) we were late out of Houston by more than an hour each time (4 hours in October) and they were unable to make the time up in flight. I am not trying to worry you, just stating the facts. You might need to be prepared for this!

My experience for tight connection at FRA and MUC (roughly 1h15m connection) was tagged "HOT" and one staff waiting at MUC, no FRA (note: I'm *G). The staff said to me when boarding "Thank you for flying Lufthansa Mr. Toyotaboy95".

One hour is definitely a extremely tight connex for the TLV flight due to longer security procedures. As security for the TLV flights is largely managed/supervised by staff from Israel, it is their call wether they will take you or not. If you are in F LH might give you a direct limo transfer, however even in this case the non LH security staff might give a thumbs down.
If I were you I would work on an alternative through VIE,IST or ZRH before departure.

40 Minute Connection in FRA
Hello FTers,
I realized I committed a cardinal sin for holding different tickets =(
I am flying DEL-FRA on the 13rd, arriving at 6:50AM...then to FCO on another ticket in a cheap bucket (E) at 7:30AM...
I'm wondering if this is even a "doable connection" I have a bad feeling about this, how nice is Lufthansa about their "flat tire rule" if Schengen Customs takes a while since we are arriving from India and my sister is heading back to the states on a 11am UA flight but have to guest her into a LH Lounge on my mad dash to the FCO Gate, can any FTers chime on this?

Depending on which gates you get you could easily spend 40 minutes just going from arrival to departure gate (immigration is very busy early in the morning, and some gates at FRA are a loooong way apart). No time for lounge, and you better hope the LH flight to FCO is delayed.

An international arrival and then connecting to Schengen with a 40 minutes connection time is pretty much stupid idea. If you arrive in B you have immigration lines and security check that is busy no matter what. So that takes time. Arriving in C you have the long walk over to the A gates. And still crazy security checks.
My advise is to get familiar with your arrival gate and try to figure out the departure gate. However both are changing all the time and you might just know this until an hour before arrival. Also hope that your flight arrives early.
And don't even bother with any lounge or anything. Try to get to your departure gates and if by luck you have some extra time, only then consider the lounge.

40 minutes connection time in fra from Terminal B or C to A with immigration is very short, but there a lot of flights from FRA to FCO. Normaly LH sell's intercontinental connection flights with a minimum of 60min. connection time. But with 2 different tickets it's Your risk.
