I've not had to do this myself but I don't believe there is a clean path between A and C and a quick poke around the map in the LH app seems to confirm that.
Non-Schengen to non-Schengen transits are enabled by the SkyLine from Z or a walking path from B to C but those all require transit security at C.

In some places, it is possible to use eGates with a UK passport for leaving Schengen. I am not sure whether FRA is one of them.

On July 26, I am scheduled to fly GLA-FRA (on LH), connecting to FRA-SFO (on UA) on a UA-issued ticket.
My connection time in FRA is 1 hour, 40 minutes. Upon reviewing my GLA-FRA flight's on-time performance recently, it has been consistently delayed such that the risk is high I would miss my FRA-SFO flight.
My LH GLA-FRA flight departs at 12:55pm. There is another LH GLA-FRA flight that departs at 6:00am that day.
QUESTION: Could I request a ticket change - without a fee - to that 6:00am flight (assuming space is available)... for the purpose of having a long, safe layover in FRA? If it matters, I am flying paid Business (P) class on a UA-issued ticket and am Star Alliance Gold (UA Platinum). And if you think I can change the flight, who should I contact? LH (the flight operator) or UA (who holds my ticket)?

I have a flight on LH BLR-FRA-SFO in Premium Economy Flex (G) with 1.5 layover in FRA. Looking at the flight stats, BLR-FRA is consistently delayed by around an hour recently. Want to be prepared for missed connection.
1) When I flew from SFO-FRA-BLR, I had to pass through the security line, which took an hour. There was no separate line for Star Alliance Gold as well. Is the airline responsible for missed connection due to security lines?
2) What are the chances the agent can put me in Business if there are no seats in Premium Economy? Can they force downgrade me to economy? Will I be eligible for compensation in that case?

Suggest that you beat the rush by running as soon as you get off the BLR-FRA flight. That way, you can board the first available train. I think the train runs every 10 mins, so you definitely do not want to be in line & wait for the next train.
Watch out for a preference entrance before security for the FRA-SFO flight. Since you have a tight connection, I'm thinking that you will get preference.
Put all your non-electronic loose items (wallets, keys, coins, belts etc) in the carry-on. Since the security does take longer, you want to save those few minutes.
After security, run. Do not get distracted by the duty free shops as you do have to be in the US passport check line. I think there is a separate line for Star Alliance Gold but not sure. In any case, be on a lookout for agents walking along the line making announcements for flights that are departing soon.

In a nutshell, how is FRA these days?
the reason i ask is that the media always make things look much worse than they really are. i see that there are supposedly 20,000 bags stuck in purgatory there. various strikes are creating havoc. staff shortages causing interminable lines.
i deal with chaos very poorly. i'd rather simply not go than have to put up with the stress. our trip is beginning of september and i'm wondering if things will be less chaotic by then or just as bad? the director of FRA wrote an open letter stating that the current situation will persist for a few months. we have a 90 min connection in FRA from canada to CDG so we'll be entering the schengen zone there. i'm beginning to think that's not enough. if we're going to lose our bags and miss our connections, i'd rather just skip this trip. i lived in europe for 30 years. i can do without a week in paris.

Flew from EWR to GVA through FRA on July 12 on LH. Flight out of EWR was delayed 45 minutes due to late arriving aircraft. Our connecting flight was automatically rebooked while we were still in Newark. This was probably a good thing because original connection time before delay was 90 minutes and we would not have made the flight anyway. Passport control in FRA took over an hour (non-Schengen passport). For some reason only two booths were open at 8:30am and one was mostly dedicated for flight crews. After an hour they opened a couple of additional windows. People were very frustrated. Security check for baggage took another 20 minutes. The line was long but moved at a good pace. Best part of this experience - checked bag made it to GVA without any issues.

Nope, not at all in my experience. It is still LH as operating carrier you are dealing with on day of travel and not UA even if it is their ticket stock.

Hi all - flying JFK-FRA-BER soon on SQ->LH in J and I have just over a 1 hr connection. The next flight to BER was a 4 hr connection so I figured I’d do the tight one and hope for the best. Now looks like that 4hr connection may be cancelled (zeroed out on ExpertFlyer) making it a 5hr connection if I misconnect.
Looks like the SQ flight uses gate B46 and the LH flights to BER use A gates in the teens, so seems like I’d take the tunnel from B19 over to the A gates.
I assume I have to clear passport control, where does that happen? What about security?
How fast do I need to run to make it? I’m sitting near the forward upstairs boarding door on the SQ A380 so hopefully I can be off quickly.
LH flight is a SQ codeshare, will I still deal with LH if I do misconnect and need to rebook? I assume I can do that in the LH lounge. I believe with a J ticket and an Amex Platinum I can use the Senator lounge?
Will LH rebook on a train? ExperFlyer does show LH codeshares from ZRB to QPP. There’s one that arrives into Berlin Hbf at almost exactly the same time as the later flight arrives at BER so that would actually get me to my hotel faster.
I suppose I should try my best to do carry-on?
Thanks for any color!

In the unlikely case that you misconnect, you will deal with LH for rebooking - you can do that in the LH Business lounge (no Senator lounge for you unless you are Star Alliance Gold - the Amex Platinum is immaterial for most airline lounges in Europe).
Regarding carry-on vs. checked luggage, these days carry-on seems to be the smartest option regardless of connecting time, but other than that I don't foresee a specific risk.
I leave the remaining points to FRA experts

Eastbound flights are usually a bit early, so I wouldn't be too worried about your connection. You almost certainly won't need to run.

Regarding connecting B non-schengen to A, I am not sure if it's possible to do it cleanly, even if unloaded in Clean B. I would expect the trip to be - take train to Z, transfer security, then passport control Z>A. If it is possible to enter Schengen B, then enter Schengen B, then take the tunnel to A.

Short Non Shengen <-> Shengen (B to A)
Hi all,
Wouldn't normally be worried but there's a few concerns with the current situation.
Booked NCL - FRA - BER in Business all one ticket on LH
LH967 arr 14:05
LH186 dep 15:45
Guessing this one shouldn't be too bad. Looks like arrival tends to be B gates and departure A gates.
Any tips?
The return is a tighter
LH175 arrives 08:55
LH966 departs at 10:00
There is only 1 flight to NCL each day
Is it worth trying to switch to an earlier flight to arrive at FRA?
The next flight to NCL isn't until the next evening.

Hi all,
Wouldn't normally be worried but there's a few concerns with the current situation.

For the return, same applies & they would need to compensate you, depending on the reason
