They are not. LU is a partner in Miles & More, but not an actual part of Star Alliance. I also don't see any codeshare in place between SQ and LU, so I doubt the SQ agent would be able to send the baggage all the way through to LUX.
That's exactly right, and since the transfer from B to A isn't particularly convenient even when staying airside, I don't think you'll lose out much by having to recheck your baggage.

Flying JFK-FRA-FCO (SQ JFK-FRA, LH FRA-FCO) I have about a 5hr layover. Could just use the J lounge, but is it worth it to book a day room at a hotel to get some real rest? I feel like going out to the Sheraton etc doesn't make much sense. What about the My Cloud transit hotel inside the terminal? Anyone know where exactly it is?
I think I'll need to clear customs/immigration in FRA anyway since italy is Shengen, so what do you all think is the best option?

My Cloud transit hotel is near gate Z25 in the non-Schengen area of the airport. Since you will arrive at a B gate you will have to go through security to reach Z concourse unless there’s a direct bus to Z. The hotel is normally for passengers flying from or to non-Schengen countries but according to their website passengers travelling between Schengen countries may currently use the hotel. I’m not sure if this means you can go through passport control and security first to go to the hotel but the usual route would be: arrive in B > Skyline and security to Z > go to hotel > go through passport control to A. Is this enough?
I am flying BKK-FRA-LCY on TG920 arriving into FRA at 06:15 connecting onto LH928 which departs at 08:15. Both tickets are on separate PNRs though. Will 120 minutes be sufficient connection time? I am assuming Thai will check baggage thru to Lufthansa?

You should request through check-in of your baggage at Bangkok, Thai and LH have interline agreement so they can transport your baggage until London.

Thanks......I'm hoping that there will be no customs just security if the baggage is checked thru! A while since I transited in Frankfurt but the baggage transfer used to be atrocious........I am talking circa 10 years ago though.......

Actually, I've just realised that my journey from NRT starts 27 hours before my LH flight....Will TG still check the bags thru as I can't check in to the LH flight online until 23 hours before. I could always check in online once I arrive in BKK I guess and ask the TG lounge staff to find my bags and retag them thru to LCY?
