I am looking at booking STL-FRA-CDG, but my choices are 1:40 and 5:40 (i can't believe they're showing a 0:40 option.) Last time I transited FRA in October 2021, it was a forever walk to passport control, and I think it took an hour with my wife. We had 3:30, so got to finish waking up in the J lounge (good coffee!) This would be a little more compressed at 1:40, and definitely no lounge time. Is this a reasonable layover?
is very doable
I'd be tempted with the 40 minute knowning they would probably put me on the 1:40 if things on the 40 minute went wrong

Hi All
Hopefully we will be going on a twice-delayed river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest at the end of May.
Our return flights have us leaving BUD on LH1335, Sunday, 6/12 at 9:30AM, arriving FRA at 11:15.
Departing FRA on UA 998 at 12:20PM, 1:05 after arriving.
My reading of the Wiki seems to indicate we are going to be arriving at the A gates and departing
from the Z gates, same terminal, different floor, with a security/passport check between gates.
It seems a bit of a tight connection to me.
Helping could be:
- We will be in Business so (hopefully) off the inbound flight quickly.
- We're both Star Alliance *G which the Wiki indicates has a priority lane.
- We both have dual citizenship: US & Ireland. Would Schengen or Non-Schengen lane be faster?
Thoughts/experience if this is do-able are appreciated.
Ken

Ireland is not schengen but there is no schengen line.
Ireland is a member of the EU. I would be tempted to use the EU line

Flying in from Oslo via Munich to Frankfurt tomorrow.
Two questions
Is there a security screening between A and B? I'm an EU/EEC citizen. To my understanding the FCL in A is closed and I don't think FCT will be open due to the strike
Is 1 hour enough connection time if LH let me rebook to the 8pm from Munich.? It lands 2100 and my connecting flight to JNB leaves at 2200.

Are you flying OSL-MUC-FRA-JNB tomorrow? According to LH flight status LH123 MUC-FRA is expected to arrive at A17 tomorrow and LH572 FRA-JNB departs from Z69. There is no security check between A and Z but Z69 is the furthest gate in Z concourse and is quite a trek from A > Z passport control.

Yes. Flying tomorrow. Lufthansa on Twitter confirmed that they accept a 1 hour connection and they also sell it on their website. If the FCT is closed I'd rather spend a few hours extra in Munich than in a Senator Lounge in FRA. They'd probpably hold the connecting flight for a few minutes as well. Or do they pick you up if it's a short connection?

Is 1 hour AC->LH domestic flight doable?

Tough. You have to pass both passport and security and probably move B>A

Thanks - and sorry, I should have probably provided more information.
I will travel MUC-FRA-ORD on Monday. Will most likely arrive at an A gate and LH430 will depart from Z (right now it shows Z25; I know that this can change) and I remembered that the Panorama Lounge is open (and hopefully less crowded than the central lounge). It might be a viable alternative to kill some time before making my way to Z25. The reason I asked the question is, the distance between A26 and Z25 is short, just 1 level up, Passport control and doc check. Say my inbound flight from MUC arrives at A13 and Z25 sticks for LH430 and I make the trip to the Panorama Lounge I would be really annoyed if the direct link A -> Z is closed and I have to schlepp back to the central passport control, go upstairs just to walk back to Z25.
Thanks for the link to the interactive map. If I pick A26 to Z25 the suggested route is to go back to A14, head upstairs and go back: est. 17 minutes. No thanks.
I am not worried about lounge access. Even if some LD will make a fuss I can claim entry based on the inbound flight.

Passport control was closed last week heading from A25 to Z. It was also closed going from Z25 to A yesterday. So I can't tell if it is operating just one-way or in both ways since it was closed.

It was a two-way check point a couple of years ago but IIRC that changed when the A+ gates opened. I used it from Z to A regularly in 2018 and 2019.

Apologies if this is not the correct thread, but what is the status of the J lounge by A26? The map posted above says it is temporarily closed, whereas the LH website indicates that it is open. I'm more inclined to trust the LH website than a third-party map, but just wanted to be sure, as the most recent post about it in the lounge reopening/status thread was from five months ago.
