I am booked on a (single) UA ticket BHX-FRA-IAD. The flight from BHX to FRA is on LH metal, the flight from FRA to IAD on UA metal.
Based on experience, should I expect Lufthansa in Birmingham to check my bags thru to IAD? Connect time in FRA is 90 minutes, which seems OK unless I have to claim / recheck bags.

I have been using T1 B immigration at similar time, and it took less than 15 minutes. How do you or anyone compare C to B immigration?

My onward flight is at 07:05am to LCY, and they appear to go from T1 B.
I only have a 1hr 35min connection.
If I read the first post correctly i'm going to need to use the Skyline train and go through security?

I will be arriving on Delta (likely E in FRA, maybe D) and continue on Lufthansa (leaving C based on current status). The terminal map looks like there may be an airside connection. Is this walkable or do I need to go landside? (two different tickets, carry on only) and how long should I expect the transfer to take. The flight will arrive early morning (6-7am). Will I have to pass security or passport control? I will arrive from the US and continue to a non-EU country.

Seems like you will have to pass security either way as JNB is unclean though.
There is a "current wait" function in FRA airport app (under Guide), so you can decide on the fly whether you should pass security at Z and enter Schengen, or take the train and pass security at B.
As it is now (I know, not at all representative), both transfer securities are less than 10 minutes. Entry to A is 40+ minutes... No separate information about priority lines.

I have read the first couple of pages of this thread and the last couple but I'm still not sure how easy my connection in FRA is likely to be but it seems that there are plenty of people in the know here.
I am flying LHR-FRA-BOG this Wednesday. From what I can make out the LHR-FRA flight arrives at AEUW which I've just learnt is a bus. The second part of the flight has been departing from C16 1 hr 20 minutes later. I've travelled a reasonable amount and have had short transfer times in the past but it's only recently that I've found out that FRA is a bit of a nightmare in this respect.
This ticket was booked through Lufthansa.com so they presumably think that it's doable and I've downloaded the FRA airport app which seems to give excellent directions between gates but any advice would be welcomed (particularly as there's only one direct FRA-BOG flight daily).

Confused about transfer..please help!
I am flying LH from Florence connecting in FRA then back to Canada.
The LH app says arrival Gate ASO..I assume that is a bus from aircraft to Terminal..correct?
Then depart Gate B22.
I didnt book the flight myself and only have 1 hour and 40 minutes.
What is the fastest and least confusing way to get from arrival to departure Gate? I have read the info here and it is wonderful but I am no further ahead..please help!

Just follow the signs to B. This will (eventually) take you through the "tunnel" (underground connection between concourses A and B). There will be no security check.
Once you're in B, follow the signs to B20-63. Go through passport control. Go to the lounge or towards your departure gate.
