It is also worth bearing in mind [in case of significant delay which could compromise your connection] that you might get the ad-hoc transfer arranged by LH i.e. a transfer agent awaiting as soon as you get off your MAN flight and making sure you get to the next gate on-time. Whilst I'd certainly not rely on it while booking a flight, I experienced it myself on a number of occasions and thus not unrealistic at all.

In that case, would there be no additional security checks?
If so, a 1h15 transfer is not so bad...

Likely, the cost of a misconnect is lower for LH than it is for you. There is no certainty before it has actually happened, it's just a numbers game - let's say with 1h15 the probability that it works out is 85%, with an earlier flight it is 97% - you've got to figure out what is acceptable to you.

What would be the difference between this service and the Gate to Gate service ( https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en...e-service.html) besides cost?
I have a 45 min connection from a non-Schengen to a Schengen flight.
I have a 45 min connection from a non-Schengen to a Schengen flight.
The LH service offers not only gate-to-gate, but also gate-to-wherever (train, lounge, hotel, etc.) in the FRA complex or wherever-to-gate (I have used it, for example to make sure guests who are elderly or are not familiar with FRA to find a lounge in which they can freshen up and get something to eat on arrival after a long flight). The LH service also appears to be slightly less expensive (75€ for LH vs. 99€). The Fraport service does not mention the option, but against a 30€ surcharge, the LH service offers a guide who speaks one of 14 foreign languages (German- and English-speaking guides are without surcharge--see LH guide service guide for more info)
I guess the difference is the Fraport service promises a limo ride between gates, while the LH guide will most likely be on foot (IME).

Hi All,
I will have a connecting flight tomorrow. From MUC-FRA-BKK.
MUC-FRA LH121
FRA-BKK LH772
I will have about 1 hour for the connecting and I always check the flight stats in Flightradar24 and the average flight is on time.
The arrival gate was A25 yesterday, but it's changed to bus gate today.
Could anyone can confirm that I do need to re-clear the security again as instructed below:
Thank you very much.

A Schengen <--> B non-Schengen (Transfer tunnel or walk through terminal)

LH 121 mostly deplanes into the A concourse at A24-26. If you happen to be bussed, just be very careful when getting off the bus and entering the building. There is a stair case up to the secure airside area just as you enter the building in A. Don't follow the crowds, but look at the signs. If you get into the A gate area you should not be required to go thru security at FRA.

I have not personally used the Fraport gate-to-gate service, only the LH guide service, which has always worked out well for my guests, but it looks like a similar service.

Thanks to the EU security nonsense that's getting harder an harder.
Detailed answers below:
Detailed answers below:
- A non-Schengen <--> B Schengen (Transfer tunnel or walk through terminal)
- -> impossible. One security needed at least when clearing immigration and security in A and then using the tunnel. When using the Sky Line you will have to re-clear security twice.
- <- possible. Use the tunnel and the passport control near gate A24
- A non-Schengen <--> B non-Schengen (Sky Line train)
- <-> either way you will have to re-clear security when coming from the sky line train. If using the B bus gates you will have to re-clear security a second time
- A non-Schengen <--> C non-Schengen (Sky Line train)
- <->You will have to re-clear securit both ways after the Sky line.
- A Schengen <--> C non-Schengen (Sky Line train or walk through terminal)
- ->You will have to re-clear security before the C gates either way.
- <-You will have to re-clear security once when walking landside. You will have to re-clear security twice if usinging the Sky Line. Once when getting off the Sky line an entering A non-Schengen, and a second time after immigration from A non-Schengen to A Schengen
- A Schengen / non-Schengen <--> Terminal 2 (Sky Line train)
- -> You will have to re-clear security at the gate in T2 (T2 has decentral security)
- <- re-clear security onces at a if using the la domestic use lanside Sky Line . Possibly more when using the airside Sky Line.
- A Schengen <--> B non-Schengen (Transfer tunnel or walk through terminal)
- -> No need to re-clear security for the main B non-Schengen area. Need to re-clear security for the bus gates.
- <- Need to re-clear security once if using imigration and security in B then the tunnel. If using the Sky Line and immigration A you will need to re-clear security twice.
- A Schengen <--> B Schengen (Transfer tunnel or walk through terminal)
- <->No need to re-clear security if using the tunnel, else once.
- B non-Schengen <--> C non-Schengen (walk)
- <-> Need to re-clear security on the way. Possible twice if using the B bus gates.
- B non-Schengen <--> Terminal 2 (Sky Line train)
- <-> Need to re-clear security after the sky line.
- B non-Schengen <--> C non-Schengen (walk)
- -> Need to re-clear security at the lower C gates or the checkpoint before the higher C gates.
- <- Need to re-clear security once if going landside. Twice if transfering airside.
- B Schengen <--> Terminal 2 (Sky Line train)
- -> Need to re-clear security at the gate in T2
- <- Need to re-clear security when using land side Sky Train. Need to re-clear security twice if using airside Sky Line and doing immigration in B.
- C non-Schengen <--> Terminal 2 (Sky Line train or walk)
- <-> Either way security at the gate or gate group. Note that while the C gates (especially C13-16) are right next to T2 there was no connection for pax, so you need to walk all the way back to the main T1 and take the Sky Line / bus to go to T2.
- C Schengen <--> anything
- <-> The single C Schengen gate (C1) is outside of any airside area and you will always have to re-clear security when connecting from/to it.
- Terminal 2 <--> Terminal 2
- <-> You will always have to re-clear security as security is at the gate in Terminal 2.
I hope that I'm not repeating what as been asked. I'll be transiting through FRA in a month's time on LH1227, then on to SIN on SQ325. The connecting time is officially 1 hr 10 mins. I'll be travelling with my wife and 2 young children (both under 3 yo).
I've checked that LH1227 usually arrives in A, and I suspect in a remote bus gate, whereas the SQ325 departs from somewhere beteen B20 to B30.
I understand that there will be the immigration checkpoint, but will there be any security checkpoint (or any way to avoid them) ? Otherwise it will be extremely short to go to the SQ gate in B.
Thanks for your helo, and whatever tips that you may offer.
Regards

LH1227 is indeed very likely to arrive at a remote stand.
You will then probably be bused to A Schengen arrivals. From there go up the escalators or take the elevators to the main A transit hall. Do not go to the bagage hall and exit! Make your way to the B gates using the tunnel between A and B. After the tunnel, follow to the high numbered B gates, go through passport control at B and then straight to your gate. This way you will not have a security check.
If you arrive at a gate at A, again follow the signs to B and use the tunnel to avoid the security check that you would get by (inadvertently) going land-side.
With your young children it might be worth asking LH for assistance. Be mindful that if you have baby strollers it might take a while to deliver them to the stairs or the gate. That said, the time thus "lost" might well be gained by being faster during transit.

In a couple weeks, I'll be taking United from DC to Frankfurt, with an hour ten in Frankfurt with a connection to Krakow.
From reading the comments here, should I just give up expecting to make it? Especially, since I'm non-Eu.

Best route for EasyPass registration to make connection?
On Friday, 6/30 I’m flying:
What is the most efficient route to the EasyPass enrollment center and then back through security? Once I enroll can I clear security using EasyPass? I am a UA 1K (*G) traveling on a full fare economy ticket. I believe I will be arriving in pier A, and departing pier Z, but am not 100% sure.
Aaron
- NUE-FRA - LH143 6:05am-6:50am
- FRA-ORD - UA945 8:10am-10:20am

I've more questions here.
The gate has changed again this morning to A Bus Gate.
I already upgraded MUC-FRA to business class, hoping to use lounge and exit the plane first. But, what if it is the bus gate, do I have to wait for the bus until it's fulled first? Or there is a bus for business class?
I've about 1 Hour and 10 Minutes to connect the flight.
What if I cannot make the connection because of the waiting for the bus and to arrive at the terminal and/or the long queue at immigration/security but the plane arrives on-time, does LH book me on the new flight for free?
I'm a non-EU citizen.
Thank you very much.

When you mentioned that I should not go to the baggage hall and exit, I would say that it is indeed obvious since my priority will be making my connecting flight to SIN. However, does that mean that the signboards usually point the arriving passengers to the baggage hall, even for connecting flights ? I have only ever been to FRA once, and that it was from HKG (non schengen) to GVA (schengen) via FRA, so the other way round.
You mentioned using the tunnel to hall B by following the signboards. Can I assume that any signboards for hall B will lead us to the tunnel and not go through the time-consuming security checks etc ? I read somewhere that the tunnel is not indicated on the signboards.
On the terminal map, I supppose the bus gates are between A1 and A10 (I'm assuming that it will be a bus gate because it'll be on a saturday, and on saturdays and on my ticket, it mentions CRJ-900). On arrival, I go up one level, then I turn left as the tunnel's between A15-A17 and B13, even though the general direction for hall B is on the right.
On another issue, what are the chances that we are greeted on the tarmac on arrival (since it will be a remote bus gate), and ferried to my connecting flight ? I am on an SQ ticket, and LH1227 is a code-share between SQ and LH.
Thanks for your help.
