Non-Schengen A to NS B - avoid train and security?
hey FRA experts
i just arrived on LH from US in the non-Schengen Z gates. Did a quick stop at the Senator lounge.
I then followed the signs to B20-64, ending up taking the train but ever clearing immigration. At B gates I had to go thru security again to get to B23 for a non-Schengen EU flight to the U.K.
I am now wondering if I could have saved time and hassle of another security control (and kept my bottle of water) if I had followed signs to B1-19 and walked thru the tunnel after clearing immigration?
Is there a way from those Schengen B gates to the non-Schengen gates without going thru security?
thanks

Only recommended if you can use E-passport gates.

Yes, if you arrive in Z (and not on the arrival level above Z, where gates are called Z62A for example) you can go to B non-Schengen without reclearing security by going down to A through passport control, down the elevator by gate A15, through the tunnel to B and going through passport control again into B non-Schengen departures.

Wow, what a confusing sounding airport
Travelling via FRA for the first time soon, and what a confusing sounding airport!
I am arriving in T2/D from a OW airline, and have a long layover before flying on LH operated by JP to a Schengen destination, which I understand is T1/A or B.
When I arrive in D, will I be able to access OW lounges in T2, or will I be forced landside or into a transfer zone in T1? Is Once thru security, is there free movement between T1 and T2 airside?
Lastly, if I am on a single ticket, but crossing alliances, must I re-claim checked baggage in between flights?

Well to answer your question properly you would have to state which OW airline you are arriving on. If it's, say, Finnair or Iberia then you would already be in the Schengen area and that would make it a different case to, say, BA or CX.
In any case I don't believe any of the OW T2 lounges consider themselves to be arrival lounges and since you are not departing on a OW flight, then I would asume you are not entitled to access.

Hello FRA experts,
I am wondering about the time I need to recheck my luggage if flying from HAM to FRA and continuing to MUC on separate tickets.
See that HAM flights arrive at A gates and MUC flights leave from there.
Should arrive from HAM ar 10:10 am and take the 13:15 flight to MUC.
How long do I need to reclaim the bag and recheck it again at terminal A?
Thanks

Yes, everything should take place in Terminal 1A. When you exit from airside go down the escalator straight on front of you and collect your bags. Then out the exit and back up to departures level to check them in again and return via security to the A gates.
Probably achievable in well under an hour on a normal day.

Flying IAD-FRA on UA and then FRA-DUB on LH, assume UA will arrive at Z and LH will depart at B. Any advice for making the connection but also want lounge time to shower? I have about 2h30m for the connection. All of my connections at FRA have been U.S. to/from Schengen or other A/Z flights, never non-Schengen at B. Thanks!

Hello!
Traveling in F to and from Tokyo with Lufthansa with an infant, what's the best way for us to have the best possible transfer experience (i.e. security & passport checks)?
Previously we just walked to FCT and did security & immigration there, but I'd like to avoid that walk with infant + plenty more carry-on luggage if possible.
Going to Japan I assume is A -> Z and going back seems to be C -> A.
Going C to A I guess means clearing security. Is there fast track at the transfer security? If not, can we simply to land side and re-clear security (I'm assuming there's fast track / First Class security coming from land side).

Thanks in advance to those who might offer their learned opinion:
Flight is a LH from LHR, connecting in FRA to a UA flight to SFO.
According to Expert Flyer, the MCT is 1 hour. I have 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Aside from a severely delayed incoming flight, should I be concerned? I assume that I will need to go through a security line: Is there an expedited line for F fliers?

In that case I would take the tunnel and go through passport control at B for the FCL B. From there they will drive you in case of Z or C departure, and B is only a short walk away.
On the way back it is much of the same. If C then you're short of luck, as it will be a walk and the skyline train. If Z then the walk might be shorter and you won't need the train. Otherwise it is a choice between FCT (walk there but car to the plane) or FCL A (shorter walk to the lounge but only a car if apron position).

Where are you coming from? I assume as you mention A that you will come in from Schengen.

Regarding transfer security on the way back, is there fast track at the transfer security? Otherwise I'd rather go to the FCT and clear security there.

Arriving in T2 on AA from the USA, and have a very long (6 hour) layover before a LH/JP flight out of terminal 1. Was planning to go into the city during the layover.
Upon arrival, should I head to terminal 1 airside to check my now-too-heavy carry on bag for the LH/JP segment before taking the train into the city? How early does LH/JP accept checked bags?
Upon arrival, do I want to follow signs for transfers to T1, then exit landside, or must I exit landside in T2?
