Anxiety attack!
In preparation for our first transit in the FRA airport, I have tried to study this thread. Now I'm really concerned. We depart Newark on a Friday evening [8/20] on a CO code share w. LH..arrive FRA with a 65 min 'layover' to catch a CO code share, again on LH, to Venice. Our ticket indicates a Terminal 1 arrival...Does that mean flight bridge or bus ? And since Italy is non-S, but another country, where do we depart from? Our transit time seems awfully tight although it was CO that booked this connection. Any help appreciated.

Thank you for your reply One floor down [& I gather, no immigration, customs
and additional security screening] would be great and with luck, should help us make our flight.

By the way-unless it changed from yesterday Italy is still 100% Schengen as it has been since 1999- so you are going to arrive at FRA at either A, B, or C (I suspect A but who knows for sure- and very unlikely C from USA LH flights?). Your flight will depart from either A or B Schengen areas- you will clear passport control and mandatory screening at FRA in any event- everything will take place at Terminal 1 for sure as Lufthansa does not operate out of T2. The flight is above MCT and should be completely do-able barring some IROPS.

Questions on transfers in Frankfurt...
I am trying to help my mother with an award trip from NY to Delhi. The outbound option looks like it is going to be CO 50 EWR-FRA in BF and LH #760 FRA-DEL in F. The return is all LH in F.
Will She be able to check luggage at EWR through to DEL? Will she be need to cross customs, etc in FRA or will she be able to go from the plane to the lounge?
Where is the F lounge compared to where she will come in on CO? Will LH help her get from CO flight to F lounge and then on to the LH flight??
On the way back it appears she will have a long layover (10 hours) in Frankfurt. Both are LH F flights. What facilities will she have access to as I think she will likely not leave the airport if they are comfortable.
I apprecite the help.

The lounge to use will be the FCL B. If your mother has mobility problems and you think she needs help to get from her flight to the lounge you can pre-arrange assistnace for which there may or may not be a charge depending on what you request.
If she just needs direction all signs are in German and English and almost everybody she'll come across (airline & airport employees) should speak English so there shouldn't be any language problem. She will have to walk to the departure gate for her DEL flight from the FCL B since it will be very close to the lounge but I'm sure someone will direct her if necessary.
On the way back she can spend all the time in the FCL B again where there are rooms with a day bed or if she does not need a visa (or has a visa) to enter Schengen, she can use a free dayroom at the Kempinski Hotel.
Her flight from DEL will arrive at a C or B gate but someone will direct her to the FCL if she arrives at a C gate. She will be driven to her EWR flight from the FCL B.

First class terminal / lounge access
Hi,
I am planning a trip through FRA in January. I will be flying SVG-FRA(LH) - ZRH (LH) in C with a continuation to DAR (LX) in F the next day (due to morning flight). In my connection in FRA, will I be entitled to enter the F lounge / terminal ? And would anyone know if I receive the F class treatment (car service to / from aircraft) in FRA or ZRH as one of my legs are F (no F on the other legs, only Y & C) ? Wondering about the same on my way back, which will be the exact same route / classes, only no layovers. All help / comments appreciated

The lounge access rules on lufthansa.com should answer the questions.
I don't think Stephano will have access to the FCT/FCL in FRA because his LX F flight isn't until the following day but he should have access to the FCL in ZRH. You will be driven from the FCL in ZRH but not right up to the a/c.
On the way back he should have access to the FCL at both ZRH and FRA assuming that this is all on the same day.

Actually the FRA connection thread doesn't cover FCT/FCL access.

The FCT/FCL thread that snod08 refers to is:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...-fct-faqs.html
Although it's primarily about the FCT there is some reference to the FRA FCLs as well.

I probably should post this elsewhere, but since I have your attention here These tickets are not ticketed yet, as there is low availability in F on the way back. I am considering getting a C ticket on the way back from DAR, and hope for a F ticket to be released so that I can bump us up to first. Is it worth taking the risk, in worst case I get stuck on C class? Or should I postpone the trip to be guaranteed F both ways? Thanks !"

Hi all,
Will be flying LH from TXL-FRA, connecting to SQ from FRA to SIN, on two different PNRs in Jan 2011. Is 1h15m likely to be an adequate time to make this connection in winter? Are TXL or FRA susceptible to weather delays at this time of year?
Also, will I be able to check my baggage through from TXL-SIN, or will I have to recheck at FRA?
Thanks in anticipation of your assistance.
