Fellow Frankfurters,
what would be your recommendation for a HON/F pax connecting in FRA to TLV, given that security checks are not being done anymore in FCL/B and the limo trip ends at sec check C?
The feeder arrived at an apron position, Limo could only take me to bus exits A or B. I chose A and walked to the FCT on the lower level. I guess, that is the best option to escape the security insanity, or?

If I have to walk stupidly long anyway to get to my gate and might end up in a second security screening, why bother at all. The walk over to the FCT is actually pretty quick.

Question for NewbieRunner or mh492
I have been tracking the arrival gate of LH493 at FRA and for the longest time it has been BNS (Non-Schengen arrivals at Bus Gate). We leave in 2 weeks. NewbieRunner previously mentioned that All non-Schengen bus arrivals go to B International Arrivals which is between gates B50-53 and B54-59. I looked at the recommended map ([Ihttp://www.lufthansa.com/mediapool/pdf/70/media_697070.pdf[/I]), but I am having a hard time visualizing where these gates are located. Could you help me with this? Are they one level below the other Pier B gates which are on level 2? How do you get from these Bus Gates to go up to Passport Control? Is Passport Control on level 3? After Passport Control,we want to go to Concourse B for a bite before going to our connecting Schengen flight (LH 4086). Our connecting flight may leave from an A Gate (eg. A15) or another B Gate (eg. B10). Thanks for your help.

I think the non-Schengen bus gates are on level 1 and passport control is on level 3. There are escalators and an elevator you can take from the bus gates.
Since you seem to have plenty of time between your flights, you may want to stay in the public area for a bite before going through security to the departure area.
Since I've successfully avoided BNS arrivals for several months now I hope mh492 or other FRA regulars will be able to correct me if needed.

I can only repeat DownUnderFlyer's excellent advice to follow the signs!

Thanks for the follow-up. ^ I seem to remember there were two sets of escalators but presumably they both take you up to level 3 now.

The escalators from Level 1 to Level 2 still exist, by they can't be reached from the Bus Arrival anymore. Level 1 has turned into a dungeon now that a concrete wall separates the departure gates and the arrival area. A few of the bus gates were also lost to it, but I don't rember which numbers exactly.

One more Question about Pier B
Thanks for the reply. Your descriptions are making this clearer. When we take the escalator/elevator to Level 3 from level 1 (Bus Gate) do we have to proceed immediately to Passport Control? We would like to have a shower as we have just travelled 10 hours in economy. There is one located in Pier B by Gate B30 (next to DUTY FREE SHOP). Can we go there first or do we have to go to Passport Control first? There is another shower located in Conourse B by the shopping/eating area. Would this be a better location after Passport Control? We plan to go here anyway, for a bite to eat before going to our connecting Schengen flight (LH 4086). Thanks for your help.

- clear immigration, then go to the Welcome Lounge landside to have a shower, then clear security to A/B Schengen
- clear immigration, then go over to pier A landside, pass security and go to the SEN lounge in A Schengen
- clear immigraton and security in B, then take the tunnel to A Schengen, use the lounge there.
- clear security, go to the SEN lounge in B non-Schengen, then clear immigration and security again in B Schengen, if nessecary take the tunnel to A schengen
- take the Sky train to terminal A, clear security once, clear immigration, clear security again and go to the SEN lounge in A Schengen
I would strongly recommend (1) if you're allowed into the Welcome Lounge, else option (2).

I'm arriving from NCE (most likely at the B Schengen Bus gate), and departing on US from Concourse C (in business class). Can I enter the B Non-Schengen area to wait at the LH Lounges? Is it possible to go from B Non-Schengen to C airside? I understand that there are two parts of Concourse C, and I can't reach the gates US uses from that LH lounge.
