I'm on a flight that lands in FRA at 11:15am with a 2 hour layover (international, all on LH), which *A lounge would have the least crowds? I'd like to take a shower and it seems a little tight.

Depends on the specific flights (and therefore gates). Walking time to a further lounge (even if less busy) can easily eat up all available time.

Arrival at Schengen A - Connecting to LH / Deutsche Bahn Train
Just an observation I made last time I transited FRA = which is not in sync with the golden "Follow the Signs" rule... - although that would bring you there eventually as well - of course.
Arriving in A with a Schengen flight - hand luggage only (or luggage checked "through" to QKL or other train stations). How to get to the train station?
Signs within the A terminal only show other terminals or baggage claim - which would lead you downstairs to the actual baggage claim - which you don't need and would take a lot more time.
Fastest way is just follow the C Terminal signs and then keeping left - this brings you landside in terminal A on the departure level and then you can follow the train station signs.
Hope this didn't confuse more than it helps...
Have safe travels

It's been a while since I transited at FRA and I have a very tight connection... flying on Jan 1 (quiet or chaotic?)..
My flight is LHR-FRA-ARN with connection time of only 45min!
Scheduled arrival of 15.05 and departure of 15.50. Checking today's flights, arrival was at B25A (non-schengen) and departure at A24 (schengen).
I understand there is a tunnel between B and A, but is it possible to use this with my non-schengen to schengen connection? I have an EU passport.
Any tips for this speedy transit?

I believe the fastest way to get to the A gates would be to take the skyline train from B non-Schengen to the Z gates and then go through passport control to access the A gates.

The passport control between the Schengen and non-Schengen parts of pier B only allow airside passage in one direction (from Schengen to non-Schengen). So you wouldn't be able to go from B non-schengen to the airside Schengen side (and access the tunnel) that way.

Hi guys!
Tomorrow I am going to have SFO->FRA->DME flight and I'm kinda nervous.
estimated arrival time of first flight is 11:15, while boarding time for the second one is 11:50 and departure 12:20. Both flight are operated by lufthansa (and i bought both as single ticket).
BU
It seems like first flight is likely to be late o_O like today it was delayed for 2 hours. sometimes it is late for 20 minutes.
is there any possibility that both me and my luggage will be able to make it, given that arriving is to Z and departure from B and I don't have Schengen visa? and what is the most optimal route for me, taking a train?
it is going to be my first-ever connection in FRA..

1. Visas: Are you a US passport holder? If yes, based on what you've noted above, you're going from non-Schengen to non-Schengen and, from my understanding (but happy to be corrected), won't need a visa to go through / may not even need to go through customs, since you are technically not entering the EU (and US citizens don't need a transit visa, or even a visa if visiting the EU as a tourist for 90 days or less).
2. Layover Time: There is no train from Z to B - everything is done on foot / via walking! You shouldn't have to pick up your luggage (it should be checked through to DME); all you have to do is hustle over to the gate. If your flight is delayed (e.g. the 2+ hour delay you saw in past days for this flight), then you'll unfortunately miss your connection - but Lufthansa should rebook you on the next available flight to DME at their expense.

JNB-FRA-LHR
Hi
Tomorrow I'm flying to LHR from JNB via FRA on lh573 and then lh 900.
I could be wrong, but I believe my first flight will be land at a Z gate, and the gate given for lh900 (which I know could change) is b 24.
I'm not worried about the connection time, I was just wondering how to get between the 2, because I believe the gates are on 2 different floors. Do I take the sky train, the tunnel or just walk, and where would I change floors, it's not clear on the terminal map
I know I've made a few assumptions, please let me know if I'm wrong and thanks for your help.

The map below does not show Z gates but they are immediately above A gates and share the same gate numbers. The Skyline stop for Z is marked by a blue circle A,Z and the stop for B is marked by an orange circle 1.

Z and B gates are not just on different floors but are in different parts of Terminal 1. From your arrival gate in Z, follow the signs for B which should take you to the Skyline train. Get off at the stop for B (first stop), follow the signs for B22-48 gates and go through security.

Not if you follow the signs for B gates. You will not enter Schengen and therefore no immigration/passport control is necessary.
